15 World War I Books
When I saw the suggestions for Children's Literature in January on Homegrown Learners I just knew our next history unit had to be about World War I. We covered World War II last year and my boys and I had so much fun reading all the wonderful books we found . I didn't know as much about World War I and wanted to find really great books that would grab our attention and spark our interest. I've also expanded our unit to include stories about what was happening in America at the time of World War I and to study Woodrow Wilson; our president at the time too. We had already read Shooting at the Stars as one of our Christmas books and I thought that would be the perfect introduction into our new unit.
