Talking About it Tuesday #67

I hope, if you celebrate Easter, that your family had a good one. We have a very busy week or two staring us in the face and I might not make it around to comment on everyone's posts but I promise to at least visit and pin them whenever I get a chance! 

With spring finally starting to spring up here, I couldn't help but notice lots of gardening posts linked up with us last week. I hope to tackle my own flower gardens soon and at least get all the leaves raked out of them. Do you have a garden?

    With the house renovation, we are only able to keep the garden tidy and take care of the plants as needed. No new plants this year. Happy gardening to you. Thanks so much for hosting!

    It seems that you live in a very cold region. Than it´s a pleasure I assume when it gets warmer and the flowers begin to bloom. Hope you don´t have too much stress this week.

    It was a busy weekend with church and a party, but also restful in some ways. We planted some flower seeds and cleaned up the yard. I am enjoying the mild spring days.

    Thanks so much for hosting the party every week. I, too am a big fan of garden photography and really appreciate the feature for the "Nurturing Nature". A garden is a true labor of love and takes a lot of work. Fortunately, when you are among the plants it doesn't seem at all like work. Hope you have a lovely week.

    We do, it is about 100X60 plus a second set of raised beds for melons. We are about done planting, and are now building trellis structures from "Yoepine" shrubs cut down. Do you remember the TGIF lineups on Friday nights? I can remember planning sleepovers and time with friends around TV Show lineups of our favorite shows... or else trying to set the VCR to record our favorite shows if we weren't going to be home. Things That Make Me Laugh

I loved the challenge of this week's list for our 26 lists link up.  I don't know about you but I really need to laugh more lately.  It's such a great stress reliever. 1.  Books-- I love a good funny book that makes me laugh out loud.  I haven't read one in a while but if you have any recommendations I'm all ears.  The last book I can remember making me laugh was the Un-Honeymooners. 2  The boys being silly. 3.  Watching shows like America's Funniest Videos or Family Feud. 4. My husband.  Most people don't realize it but he's actually pretty funny and often makes me laugh. 5.  Whenever my sisters/ family get together and we get to reminiscing (particularly if my Aunt Elaine is around) we end up laughing so hard at all the old family stories that we are all in tears by the end of the night.  It's fabulous. 6. Each year near the end of December/ beginning of January I share the top 10 posts of the year but this year, in particular, I have noticed some much older posts that are still bringing in lots of pageviews and thought it would be fun to look back and see a top 10 list of all time.  I started my blog in June of 2012 and while so many of my first posts were long blocky, chunky rambles without any real photos of us and our family I just can't bring myself to delete any of them as I really do enjoy looking back and seeing how my blog has change and grown over time. Not surprisingly all my top 10 posts are from more recent years.  I love to look at what is popular and try to figure out WHY each post is so popular. Weigh- In Wednesday: Protein Bowl Recipe

After rejoining Weight Watchers, I knew I wanted to reinstate my Weigh- In Wednesdays posts. On the third Wednesday of every month I'll have a new post/party up for everyone to share workout tips, weight loss thoughts and ideas, and healthy recipes to fuel us on our journey to better health.  I feel like I've been doing decently well with focusing on organic, whole foods and while I can't say I've seen any huge changes in body mass/weight/muscle mass/etc. I do feel like I have more energy (which is a good thing since I spend SO MUCH more time in the kitchen making/prepping food). Overall I have shed 4 or 5 lbs that I've been keeping off so I'm happy with that. Now that spring is arriving we should be able to get out more for longer hikes and exercise and I can't wait!   I got into such a habit of just eating my fruit/yogurt/granola bowls each morning and I've been making a real concerted effort these past few months to try new things. Some of my Favorite Sunset and Sunrise photos

 As much as I love taking landscape and nature photos I'm pretty sure my favorite thing to photograph are sunrises and sunsets. The color displays are incredible and I feel like even if I take 5 photos of the same sunset or sunrise each photo is just a tiny bit different. The lighting changes so subtly and yet so fast.  I was reading A Grace Full Life's blog the other day and she had a post with a year of sunsets and sunrises and I thought it was just so pretty to see them altogether. While I haven't been paying close enough attention to do a full year of sunsets and sunrises I knew I had lots of photos from our travels and I thought I'd compile a list of some of my favorites!
