Some of my Favorite Sunset and Sunrise photos

 As much as I love taking landscape and nature photos I'm pretty sure my favorite thing to photograph are sunrises and sunsets. The color displays are incredible and I feel like even if I take 5 photos of the same sunset or sunrise each photo is just a tiny bit different. The lighting changes so subtly and yet so fast. 

I was reading A Grace Full Life's blog the other day and she had a post with a year of sunsets and sunrises and I thought it was just so pretty to see them altogether. While I haven't been paying close enough attention to do a full year of sunsets and sunrises I knew I had lots of photos from our travels and I thought I'd compile a list of some of my favorites!

      They really don't! I'm always so disappointed when I compare the photo to the sunset/sunrise in front of me but then when I look at them later they do look fabulous.

      We were so thrilled to see such pretty views in Tennessee from the back deck of our rental. It was a hairy drive up there but well worth the mountain views.

    I had a sunset picture on my blog today; I will always take a picture of either a sunrise or sunset, regardless of what it looks like afterward. They're my favorite! These are all beautiful.

    I have so many of photos of sunsets on my phone! The lighting does change so quickly.
    Such beautiful photos! I think the Sunrise on Maui is my favourite but they are all amazing!

    So many beauties! I love to photograph the sunrise especially because we have a great view of that every day. I'll take more sunset photos when we get back out on the boat. We get some of the sunset but not the full view usually. Have a happy weekend!

    Oh wow! I love capturing a sunset or a sunrise. These are all stunning! I think sunset in the great smoky mountain; Tennessee is my favourite, but you have really pretty views from your lake too! :)

Do you remember the TGIF lineups on Friday nights? Things That Make Me Laugh

I loved the challenge of this week's list for our 26 lists link up.  I don't know about you but I really need to laugh more lately.  It's such a great stress reliever. 1.  Books-- I love a good funny book that makes me laugh out loud.  I haven't read one in a while but if you have any recommendations I'm all ears.  The last book I can remember making me laugh was the Un-Honeymooners. 2  The boys being silly. 3.  Watching shows like America's Funniest Videos or Family Feud. 4. My husband.  Most people don't realize it but he's actually pretty funny and often makes me laugh. 5.  Whenever my sisters/ family get together and we get to reminiscing (particularly if my Aunt Elaine is around) we end up laughing so hard at all the old family stories that we are all in tears by the end of the night.  It's fabulous. 6. Each year near the end of December/ beginning of January I share the top 10 posts of the year but this year, in particular, I have noticed some much older posts that are still bringing in lots of pageviews and thought it would be fun to look back and see a top 10 list of all time.  I started my blog in June of 2012 and while so many of my first posts were long blocky, chunky rambles without any real photos of us and our family I just can't bring myself to delete any of them as I really do enjoy looking back and seeing how my blog has change and grown over time. Weigh- In Wednesday: Protein Bowl Recipe

After rejoining Weight Watchers, I knew I wanted to reinstate my Weigh- In Wednesdays posts. On the third Wednesday of every month I'll have a new post/party up for everyone to share workout tips, weight loss thoughts and ideas, and healthy recipes to fuel us on our journey to better health.  I feel like I've been doing decently well with focusing on organic, whole foods and while I can't say I've seen any huge changes in body mass/weight/muscle mass/etc. I do feel like I have more energy (which is a good thing since I spend SO MUCH more time in the kitchen making/prepping food). Overall I have shed 4 or 5 lbs that I've been keeping off so I'm happy with that. Now that spring is arriving we should be able to get out more for longer hikes and exercise and I can't wait!   I got into such a habit of just eating my fruit/yogurt/granola bowls each morning and I've been making a real concerted effort these past few months to try new things. 100 Days of Science #68-- Index Card Tower

My boys did such a wonderful job with their spaghetti bridges and popsicle stick bridges that I decided to look up some other fun STEM challenges.  I found a fun index card challenge that I thought they might like.  I handed each of them a package of index cards from the dollar store and asked them to build the tallest tower they could just using index cards.   Evan struggled quite a bit at first not thinking about folding the cards in any way but once we saw what his older brother's were doing he hatched a new plan.  Every now and then they'd stop to measure their towers.. being very careful not to knock them over. Ian build his tower on our coffee table making sure to use a nice wide base. Ian's tower was the tallest by just a few inches and Evan had the shortest.
