Talking About It Tuesday #62
This week Evan is on spring break and I'm trying to think of some fun stuff for us to do locally (as long as our weather cooperates)! I spent a rainy day yesterday in the kitchen making granola bars, some homemade wheat thin crackers and homemade cheez-it crackers. What have you been up to?
A few that caught my eye:
The Best Things About Sydney are Free by Holiday, Hellidays and the Journeys in Between
Bailey's Ice Cream with Guinness Chocolate Ripple by Cincy Shopper
Cute Decoupage Easter Bunny Mason Jars by Hunny I'm Home
This party will remain open until the weekend. My hope is that everyone will share all sorts of wonderful posts: travel, recipes, how to's, crafting ideas, and more-- up to 3 posts per blog. Anything that is family friendly is welcome; even old posts that you'd like to get some new views.

I hope the weather cooperates for spring break. It seems like it's always iffy this time of year... I hope that Evan has a great break! Thanks for the link up :).
ReplyDeleteThank you; so far so good though it looks like possible snow on Friday!
DeleteEnjoy your time with Evan! Keeping my fingers crossed that it will feel like "spring" for his Spring Break! I'd love to know how you made your homemade crackers! They sound delicious! Thanks for hosting us all!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I Googled a few recipes for homemade wheat thins and homemade cheez-it's and found that they were all pretty similar. It didn't take long either; they were simple recipes with just a few ingredients.
DeleteJoanne,
ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoying your time with your son since he is home on Spring break...
My Link Ups for today's party are # 23, 24 and 25!

Thank you!
DeleteThat's quite a menu of home made snacks! Sounds like a great start to your school break!
ReplyDeleteIt sure was a delicious start to the break.
DeleteThose crackers and granola bars sound so good! It's been rainy here too. I hope you find some fun things to do for your spring break. THANK YOU for the feature!! What a nice surprise!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteHomemade Cheez-its? Do tell! I have someone around here who'd gobble them up ...
ReplyDeleteIt really was quite easy; I just Googled a recipe for homemade Cheez-it's and with just 4 or so ingredients (butter, cheddar cheese, flour, salt, water and oil) we had crackers. https://cheeseknees.com/homemade-cheez-its-recipe/#wprm-recipe-container-125008
DeleteI like that post about the free things to do in Sydney! Travel and visiting is something we all like to do.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely!
DeleteEnjoy Ethan's spring break. We're expecting a major snow storm tomorrow. :(. I would love to hear more about your homemade crackers. I tried making my own once and it was a disaster.
ReplyDeleteThank you! We're looking at possible snow for Friday.... but I'm hopeful it will turn to rain!!
DeleteWe've got spring break here, too. I always thought I wouldn't care about it after my kids are grown, but I ended up going into teaching as they flew the nest, so now I do. ha :) Thanks for hosting! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, teachers look just as forward to spring break! I hope you have a great one.
DeleteMy son is catching up on his sleep for spring break lol! He did go the Fox theater in Atlanta with his dad on Sunday night. But we have no grand plans since our spring break is not for a few more weeks.

Yeah, I kind of hated that my two boys had different breaks so it made it hard to do anything bigger and just day trips here and there for each of them.
DeleteI hope you find some things to do over the break, I will keep my fingers crossed for some good weather for you. Homemade Cheez it crackers sound delicious.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteHope you have a fun spring break. Thanks so much for the party!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteAll of the stuff you made yesterday sounds great. Have a fun week with you son.

DeleteThanks for hosting! It's "spring bhreak" for my grandchildren, and lucky them they are all vacationing in warmer places for the week. We have happily been avoiding all the snow the mountains have been getting ;ately, but that might change tomorrow as another storm is predicted.
ReplyDeleteOh that does sound like your grandchildren are quite lucky! We have never managed a spring break trip.
DeleteThanks for hosting Joanne. Looks like a fun line-up this week. My posts are #67, 68, and 69. Enjoy spring break and be well.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI had a trip to the planet path in Terfens, about 30 km from my home.
ReplyDeleteHave a good time and all the best
Violetta

ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteOur nicer weather has meant painting on the back porch some -- well, we should be painting the back porch...it is in rough shape! lol! Maybe this summer we will do that. We are also enjoying having our windows open. We have been warned that winter could come back again before the end of March!! Eek!
ReplyDeleteOh that sounds lovely!
DeleteYou were busy in the kitchen prepping for spring break, Joanne. I hope you have a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteThat mason jar is so adorable! Thank you for hosting. Happy Spring 💐
Thank you!
DeleteJoanne, Thank you so much for hosting your link party! I really enjoy "stopping by". I enjoyed your throwback story of the visit to the aquarium when the boys were young! I hope you find some interesting things to do this Spring Break with Evan. Have a great day! Patty
