Talking About It Tuesday #59

Happy Tuesday! Are you happy to see February wrapping up? I'm pretty excited since Alec will be home all next week for his spring break. I'm hopeful we can get some summer/vacation planning done while he's here. So far no one seems to care much about going away this year. But I am ready for some vacations-- even if I only get to plan a couple weekend trips around New England for just my husband and I. Do you have any fun trips planned?

    It's exciting that it's almost spring break time of year! I hope Alec has a wonderful break. I love the Lego roses. Alyssa got that same set for me last year for Mother's Day. We had a great time assembling the roses together.

    They probably don't want to plan another vacation because ya'll just got back from Hawaii. Yes, I'm excited to see the end of February, although I know March and April can bring the worst snowstorms of the year.

    We're looking forward to a trip to Delaware to visit friends in April. It will give us a preview of spring's coming attractions before spring wakes up here in New England.

Do you remember the TGIF lineups on Friday nights? I can remember planning sleepovers and time with friends around TV Show lineups of our favorite shows... or else trying to set the VCR to record our favorite shows if we weren't going to be home. Things That Make Me Laugh

I loved the challenge of this week's list for our 26 lists link up.  I don't know about you but I really need to laugh more lately.  It's such a great stress reliever. 1.  Books-- I love a good funny book that makes me laugh out loud.  I haven't read one in a while but if you have any recommendations I'm all ears.  The last book I can remember making me laugh was the Un-Honeymooners. 2  The boys being silly. 3.  Watching shows like America's Funniest Videos or Family Feud. 4. My husband.  Most people don't realize it but he's actually pretty funny and often makes me laugh. 5.  Whenever my sisters/ family get together and we get to reminiscing (particularly if my Aunt Elaine is around) we end up laughing so hard at all the old family stories that we are all in tears by the end of the night.  It's fabulous. 6. Share 4 Somethings in February 2025

Tomorrow is the last Saturday of the month and time for Share 4 Somethings with Jennifer. The prompts for the entire year will be the same each month—some things we loved, some things we learned, some things that went well, and some things we let go of.  Some things I've loved:  We've had some really beautiful mornings on the lake. Some things I've learned:  I learned how to make homemade crescent rolls!  Some things that went well:  I've been doing so well with my healthy eating! Wearing Pinks and Reds with Ageless Style

It's the third Thursday of the month and time for another ageless style challenge. This month Jennifer picked  Pink and/ or Red for  our ageless style group.  I have had this red sweater dress in my closet for a few years but I rarely wear it. I thought this challenge would be a perfect time to try styling it. Weigh- In Wednesday: Tofu Nuggets

After rejoining Weight Watchers, I knew I wanted to reinstate my Weigh- In Wednesdays posts. On the third Wednesday of every month I'll have a new post/party up for everyone to share workout tips, weight loss thoughts and ideas, and healthy recipes to fuel us on our journey to better health.  This month I thought I'd share a recipe I've been playing with for a few months now. I saw a few recipes about making nuggets using tofu and I was intrigued. I like tofu but I can't say it's a favorite food of mine so I'm still experimenting and playing with different recipes that use it.  This was is actually really simple and only takes 2 or 3 ingredients depending on how much time you want to give it: Tofu, (sometimes beaten eggs), and bread crumbs of your choosing.
