Talking About It Tuesday # 56
Happy February! I'm not sure how each year January seems to drag on and on while also somehow flying by. I think all those winter months here are tricky that way because the summer months just feel like they are over in a flash. I guess you can tell I much prefer sunny, warm weather to cold and icy!
I hope 2024 has been treating you well so far. We sure have had some really wonderful blog posts shared. I had a really hard time playing/picking favorites this week; I know I say this nearly every week but it is rather difficult to pick just a few when so many great posts are shared. It tickles me to no end to see so many of you returning week after week to link up with us so thank you all so much for keeping this party going strong.
The link with the most views from last week's party:
Cozy Homemade Lunch with Cauliflower Soup and Beer Bread by Thrifting Wonderland
A few that caught my eye:
Scarf Styling by An Inspired Home
Dollar Tree Buffalo Plaid Heart Sign by Creatively Beth
The Ripped Bodice-- A Romance Bookstore by Julie's Creative Lifestyle
This party will remain open until the weekend. My hope is that everyone will share all sorts of wonderful posts: travel, recipes, how to's, crafting ideas, and more-- up to 3 posts per blog. Anything that is family friendly is welcome; even old posts that you'd like to get some new views.

Thank you so much for featuring my scarf styling post! And thank you for hosting each week. I"m enjoying your homeschool throwback post - I have a homeschooled senior this year and getting ready for the graduation is bringing back so many memories.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! I loved each of those outfits so much. Good luck with your senior! My youngest is a junior and my other two are already in college/graduated from college. It really flies by so fast.
DeleteSuch a pleasure to visit your site every week. Thanks so much for hosting. I really appreciate the feature for the soup and beer bread. They are tasty and easy recipes to try. Have a wonderful week.

DeleteThat name, The Ripped Bodice, is adorable! I am so pleased that not only bookstores, but reading is making a comeback. Reading was always my outlet as a kid, and one we can all enjoy. Thanks for hosting, I appreciate it. Melynda @scratchmadefood!
ReplyDeleteRight?! Isn't that the cutest name for a romance themed book store? I have always been a HUGE reader too.
DeleteThanks Joanne for featuring my ripped bodice bookstore blog post, what a nice surprise. I love that cute love sign craft. I hope you stay warm and enjoy the rest of the week.

ReplyDeleteSo happy to have you linking up!
DeleteI'm always so happy when January is over. February isn't so bad because it's short and you have Valentine's Day in the month, but March, that's always the worst.
ReplyDeleteYes, March is truly awful! LOL... it's often the month we get the most snow too just when we think winter might be ending.
DeleteYes, dear Joanne, the year has started fine....and winter is going on with fine snow on the skiing slopes...you wrote you are more prefering the warm summer time. I like it too, but skiing in winter also is great pleasure to me. Have a good time and all the best

That is wonderful! I haven't skied since I broke my leg in the 4th grade. I have tried a few other winter "sports" of sorts but haven't really found one I love yet.
DeleteOkay, that romantic bookstore?! Oh my gosh, I would give my left leg to visit! I have such a thing for bookstores!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the cutest?! I love scoping out little/local bookstores wherever I go. Though I've decided I need to be better about buying something to support them each time I go into one.
DeleteI am the same way--January just doesn't have anything fun in it, so it goes on forever!! Flipping the calendar over to February seems like a great accomplishment. :) Thanks so much for hosting this great linkup. I've left a couple of my own posts and am off to visit others. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for joining in!

Aw, anytime Debbie! I love seeing what you and your family are up to.
DeleteI absolutely agree that January just flew by! I haven't been linking up because I didn't realize this post was down at the bottom of your Tuesday remembering homeschooling post! Anyway, thanks for the link up!

Yeah, I hate that on any 2 post day there is no way to share the headline. I feel like one always gets overshadowed by the other... I was afraid some people might not see it tucked under the other.
DeleteIt's funny how different people like different parts of the year. We've had some weather in the mid 70s and I've already complained of the heat! Thankfully, I know it's just false spring and it will cool back off soon. Trying to enjoy the outdoors at mid day when it is pleasant.

Our summer temps are usually in the 80's with maybe a few days in the 90's and living on the lake we almost always have a nice breeze. But I'm happiest with weather between 55/60 and 85. This time of year I'm happy with weather in the upper 30's... which looks like I won't be seeing for at least a week but at least it's been sunny. Usually our winters tend to be very gray and dreary so I'm just happy when it's shining at least.
DeleteTHANK YOU Joanne for including my Buffalo Plaid Heart with the rest of the amazing inspiration! Have a lovely week! Creatively, Beth
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! thank you so much for sharing your lovely crafts with us.
