10 on the 10th on the 12th-- Valentine 2025 Edition!
I couldn't miss one of my favorite link ups of the month-- Marsha's 10 on the 10th! This month she asked us some really fun would you rather questions.
1. Oh a cozy restaurant; we so rarely go out (maybe once a month) and eat dinner in my jammies at home a lot in winter.

We went to this restaurant (the Red Lantern) a couple of weeks ago and wouldn't it be perfect for Valentine's Day? |

I got orange ginger salmon with potatoes and bok choy |
2. Oh I just love velvet so I'd rather wear red velvet; I'm not a huge fan of red velvet with all that red dye in it.
3. A heart shaped piece of jewelry! I actually have tons of heart shaped necklaces, earrings, and bracelets-- even my engagement ring is heart shaped.
4. Ooh... this one is a toss up since I enjoy them both! But probably the peanut butter hearts since I can get the pieces anytime of the year and the hearts only come out for Valentine's day.
5. I love a good rom-com so I'd pick a Valentine's day themed movie; in fact my favorite one to watch this time of year IS called Valentine's Day! Have you ever seen it? It's got Julia Roberts, Ashton Kutcher, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Gardner, Bradley Cooper, Patrick Dempsey. It's really cute.
6. Funny enough I tend to gift both to my husband and each of my boys; though I know my boys wouldn't be upset with just a box of chocolates, the year or two where I've bought a card my husband was disappointed not to get a handmade one! I have been making him cards since we were 16 though so it's kind of a tradition.
7. Oh that is a tough one; both of these are on my vacation/travel bucket list but since I'm pretty darn sick of winter and the cold I'm going to go with Tahiti!
8. While I like both of these songs I think it would be weird for me to sing "At Last" since we found each other when we were so young. I'd have to go with "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing."
9. For a week for sure! I'd happily celebrate Valentine's day all month. I usually start early wearing all my pinks and reds and hearts. I know so many people really seem to detest Valentine's day but it's always been one of my all time favorite holidays since it's such an easy one to celebrate. I am such a hopeless romantic.
10. Oh gosh these are both so gross but I can't even stand regular Brussels sprouts and can't even imagine them dipped in chocolate so I guess I'd say a really sour piece of candy. One would have to assume the candy is smaller and would be gone faster!
Linking up with: Spread the Kindness,
I am with you on enjoying Valentine's Day and doing/ wearing sweet and heart things in the weeks leading up to VD. I love that your ring is heart shaped! How lovely!! I have been wearing my pink mules (arguably not winter appropriate since they're open heeled but YOLO!) and getting lots of compliments- I just love a pop of pink in an otherwise very neutral/bland outfit.
ReplyDeleteOh I bet those pink mules are a perfect pop of pink!
DeleteThat restaurant looks simply magical and your dinner looked amazing! We have several of the same answers :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! It was really lovely.
DeleteYes, Tahiti! It seems like the groundhog may have been right this time based on the winter weather.
ReplyDeleteI love Reese's hearts!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had any in years but I love their hearts and pumpkins.
DeleteI forgot about that movie!! I need to see if the kids could watch it because that one would be fun to watch Friday night!
ReplyDeleteYeah, off the top of my head I don't remember any really racy parts but I can't say for certain... It would be a fun one though.
DeleteI love how you rationalize your answers, Joanne. Tahiti would be my choice too.
ReplyDeleteXOOX
Jodie
Aw, thank you, Jodie!
DeleteWe shared lots of the same answers. I love the peanut butter hearts because I really don’t taste that much peanut butter in the pieces. It looks like lots of us are going to Tahiti!

We should all go together! LOL
DeleteI haven't heard of or watched Valentine's Day...I need to check it out.
ReplyDeleteIt's really cute; cheesy for sure but cute.
DeleteBrussels sprouts are not my favorites either. I agree with you, sour candy!
ReplyDeleteTake care and best wishes.
Thank you!
DeleteHi Joanne, what a fun post! We don't really make a thing of Valentines Day here. However, as it turns out we will be going out to a restaurant on the night of Valentines Day - but not alone - with a few other couples. It just happened to fall on Valentines Day - wasn't intended as a Valentines Day outing but bonus that it is! Thanks for linking up with #WWWhimsy ! xo
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a lot of fun!
DeleteMy daughter was born on Valentine's, so we ALWAYS have a party :)
ReplyDeleteHowever, if I'd have to choose for a date with my husband, that would definitely be at home in our jammies (you can tell we are getting old ;)
Aw, that sounds fun too. Happy birthday to your daughter!
DeleteI am with you on so much of this! We have been eating Peanut Butter Hearts all month and Tahiti is on my bucket list too!

That sounds like a yummy month!
DeleteThose were some fun prompts: I really need to join in next month! I love that you always make homemade cards: they are lovely!

Aren't they so fun? We never know what Marsha will ask.
DeleteI forgot about the "Valentine's Day" movie! I may have to watch it this weekend! Fun post, Joanne!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it so cute?
DeleteI'm with you...brussel sprouts are a big no! Haha!! Happy Valentine's Day!!
DeleteHappy Valentine's day!
DeleteThat restaurant is so cool! I love the little nod to Pretty Women in "Valentine's Day"!
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteThat restaurant looks so cool!!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely hated brussel sprouts until about two years ago. Now I love them. It is so weird!!
They say your taste buds change every few years! I do give odd vegetables and fruits I've never enjoyed before a try every so often just to see..
DeleteWhat a neat looking restaurant, and your engagement ring is beautiful. I think I had more fun celebrating Valentine's Day when the kids were young - so many fun, sweet things to do with kids, and hubby and I were more likely to go on a simple date, but now that we're empty nesters, Valentine's Day feels a little more like something for the young couples. We celebrated by going to a college hockey game! Hope you're having a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you so much! Funny enough my husband and I were just saying Valentine's day is for the younger set too. LOL. We did exchange cards but then treated it like any other day.
