Holiday Lights Experience at Roger Williams
We went to the Holiday Lights Experience at Roger Williams Park Zoo after Christmas last year and it was such a fun night.
More than 3 1/2 million lights spread throughout the whole zoo, smores stands, hot cocoa, and holiday music playing throughout; it was wonderful.

I really want to do something like this! I also have a list of the best Christmas lights houses in my city and would like to take puppy! I have heard they like it!
ReplyDeleteIt was so much fun since my sister and her kids were up from North Carolina and the whole family went.
DeleteThose lights are amazing!
ReplyDeleteI had never been before but it really was so pretty (and we got to see some animals that were out at the zoo too!).
DeleteLooks so fun to see!
ReplyDeleteIt was a lot of fun.
DeleteThe Trail of Lights in Austin is very similar, but so, so crowded. I do have very good memories of taking my kids to see lights in the days leading up to Christmas. So fun!
ReplyDeleteFrom what I've heard this is usually really crowded too but I think because we went mid-week between Christmas and New Years it wasn't bad at all.
DeleteThe Atlanta zoo does Chinese lanterns. This year, we are planning to go see the lights at Six Flags since we have passes. I just need to choose a mild night to go with the boys.

Oh fun! One of our local zoos had Chinese Lanterns but that was in the early fall.
DeleteWhat a wonderful evening! The lights are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAren't they?
DeleteIt cannot be more colorful!
ReplyDeleteThey did a really great job. I wonder how long it takes them to get all those lights up.
DeleteOh, I love going to light displays! My husband and I went to one this past weekend too. This is so pretty. Visiting from Wordless Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteI can rarely get my husband and boys to go to anything having to do with Christmas lights and decorations but they enjoyed this.
DeleteHow fun! Our teeny tiny little town puts up over a million and it is such a great night out walking around there. I love a light display.
ReplyDeleteOh wow; that sounds wonderful!
DeleteThese kinds of light displays are always so fun!
ReplyDeleteThey really are! Even if we were pretty darn cold by the end.
DeleteThis looks magical!!
ReplyDeleteIt was!
DeleteSo many lights! It looks like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteIt was a lot of fun!
DeleteThis always gets us in the Christmas spirit to see all the lights and decorations. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteXOXO

Definitely!
DeleteMy goodness, that all looks amazing! The lights never get old, do they?
ReplyDeleteI don't think so.
DeleteThere is something so magical about Christmas Lights, Joanne. They certainly add to the festive spirit and here in Australia, houses are being decorated for 'the best Christmas lights' competition. It certainly spreads good cheer and your photos really capture the magic. Thanks for sharing with us at #WWWhimsy and have a lovely week. Sue L #TeamWWWhimsy x
ReplyDeleteOh so fun!
DeleteThese look very festive Joanne! Thanks for sharing for Min's #WWWhimsy linkup.

DeleteOh wow what a great holiday display. It is so festive and magical. And I love how the lights are reflected against the water. What a wonderful experience!

It was very festive feeling!
DeleteThose scenes where the lights are reflected in the water are just beautiful! I think your zoo beat Newfields by about 1.5 million lights! Absolutely gorgeous, and thanks for sharing, Joanne!

We loved that last section where all the lights wrapped around a walking track around the pond. It really was all very pretty.
DeleteThis looks absolutely adorable! I would love to see it.
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you. We were definitely glad we made the trip.
DeleteThat is so very beautiful. Love it.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThese lights are beautiful! I love the shots with the overcast night sky!
ReplyDeleteYes, I loved how that looked too!
DeleteThis looks amazing. I've been looking for one of these holiday walk throughs to do around here.
ReplyDeleteThey are so fun! We even got to see some zoo animals; well, those that were awake and curious anyway.
DeleteWhat a fun thing to do, Joanne! I love Christmas lights and add in smores stands and I'm in!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteBeautiful display of lights and your night photos are amazing! I should go visit the lights around here too.

DeleteThose lights are epic! I bet they're even more beautiful in real life.
ReplyDeleteThey really are.

ReplyDeleteThey really do!

ReplyDeleteThank you! Merry Christmas to you too.
DeleteWe have a similar thing at our zoo, can't wait to go this week. The lights are beautiful, the photos you took are great!
ReplyDeleteOh it is so fun; your kiddos are going to love it!
DeleteI love Christmas lights and always want to go to the local displays but the tickets have become ridiculously expensive here in the UK. Your photo's are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThese were 1/2 price since it was after the holidays. They keep up until a week or two in the new year.
DeleteI love zoo lights! Looks like such a fun time.
ReplyDeleteWe really had a great time.
