Prime Purchases in September

 It's the first Monday of the month and time for Prime Purchases with Tanya. I bought quite a bit this month since I decided to do a tiny makeover of our bedroom and bathroom with new bedding, curtains, and throw rugs. 



Our new bedding-- I'll be honest, while I love the colors and patterns I'm not entirely sure the material will hold up. 


The new curtains; I needed a few different sizes and some took forever to come in but I like how nice and thick they are. 


Bathroom rugs; again I needed a variety of sizes but I really liked that these are gray and white speckled. 



While I was at it I bought us some new towels too. These are a nice quality. 


I bought some new pants; I loved them so much that I ended up buying them in 2 more prints!





All our plants were outgrowing their pots so I had to repot them and not all of them fit back in the same place where they used to so I bought THIS plant stand to hold a few of them.



I picked this calendar for next year (but needed it now since I already have lots of appointments and dates for next year).


I bought these fire blankets



Some more clear nail polish



and these fall window clings for Alec's dormroom.

    You always find great things on Amazon! I saw some floral pants like that in the airport and in Spain. Tom just bought us a bunch of fire blankets to keep in the house and cars.

      I put one in the kitchen and one near our woodstove but I was thinking one in the cars might not be a bad idea!

    I love the pants! My kids tease me about it but every year for Christmas I give them some kind of 'safety/preparedness' item. I think this year it will be fire blankets. Have a great day!

      It does make it feel like new again. I think I'll spend the next few months or so updating the boys bedrooms one at a time too.

    I love your new bedding. I know what you mean about wondering if it will last. It seems like all the bedding now is microfiber instead of cotton, and I think that can snag/tear more easily. Thanks for linking up!

    I really want some new bedding, too. But, I want a heavy cotton quilt. I've got one picked out, but it's way more money than I want to pay! I'll have to wait til it goes on clearance because, of course, you need the shams and other things, too. I need lots of new rugs. Ours are so blah! I'd say you made some really good purchases!

      I nearly bought the exact same calendar I had this year; they had all the same photos in all the same order with just the dates updated and then I realized it was the same!

    The bedding looks beautiful! I hope the material holds up well. The curtains look good and thick. We need some blockout ones for the living room. Even though we have blinds, the sun shines right in, and it's hard to watch TV during the day.

    Really like your new bedding, curtains and bathroom things. Great finds. And those pants you shared with me look smashing on you. I am hoping to get out of this boot this week. Do you remember the TGIF lineups on Friday nights? Things That Make Me Laugh

I loved the challenge of this week's list for our 26 lists link up.  I don't know about you but I really need to laugh more lately.  It's such a great stress reliever. 1.  Books-- I love a good funny book that makes me laugh out loud.  I haven't read one in a while but if you have any recommendations I'm all ears.  The last book I can remember making me laugh was the Un-Honeymooners. 2  The boys being silly. 3.  Watching shows like America's Funniest Videos or Family Feud. 4. My husband.  Most people don't realize it but he's actually pretty funny and often makes me laugh. 5.  Whenever my sisters/ family get together and we get to reminiscing (particularly if my Aunt Elaine is around) we end up laughing so hard at all the old family stories that we are all in tears by the end of the night.  It's fabulous. 6. Favorite Moments and Memories of 2024

 Oh 2024... it was a challenging year for sure but we had so many fabulous moments and memories. I fully admit that many of my favorite memories this year have no pictures-- like Easter dinner with the family, Alec's acceptance day at JWU, etc. But I am more interested in being present these day then I am in getting the exact perfect photo. In January  we started the year with a big family breakfast out to lunch before my sister and nephews headed home. It's an awful picture but we were all laughing because my mom tried 4 times to get us all in there! Then a week or so later my husband and I did get to go on our cruise (we weren't sure right up until the last minute since my mother in law was in the hospital just before we left).  Roatan Grand Cayman We celebrated Alec's 18th birthday nearly a full month late in  February but he didn't mind. Share 4 Somethings in December

Tomorrow is the last Saturday of the month and time for the Share 4 Somethings link up with Jennifer. We're flying home (if all goes well with our connections we should be home tomorrow morning-- though I am REALLY worried about the "adjustment" the airline company made so we now have a much shorter connection time than we planned!) so this wrap up is pretty much all about our trip to Hawaii!  Once again we'll be sharing some things we've  loved and/or disliked, accomplished, some things we've improved upon and/or that need improvement, and noticed.
