Cozy October with Ageless Style

It's the third Thursday of the month and time for another ageless style challenge.  This month Jennifer picked "cozy October" for our challenge.

I had such a hard time picking an outfit for this one since I love lots of cozy sweaters, cardigans, and outfits. I finally settled on a pair of legging with my cable knit cardigan and a scarf.

Even though it is getting cooler I am still wearing my flip flops! I felt like this was a perfect cozy outfit because it is casual and comfortable but still nice and warm.

Next month we're styling a fall color challenge with chocolate brown and cream.

  3. Cable knits are some of my faves- I rarely wear them as I don't like them on me but love them on other people like you!

  8. This is a super cozy outfit! So funny that you're still wearing your flip flops, though. I'd freeze to death if I didn't cover my feet! It was 38 this morning so I wore knee high boots! Haha.

Crack me up that you wore flip flops with this. I have finally retired my sandals, and am embracing closed toe shoes from now until April.
Love the color of that cardigan too,

  11. I would definitely think that leggings and a cardigan is a cozy outfit!

  12. Nice cardigan, the color is fitting right through next spring. That scarf wrapped around the neck is not so great. There have been cases of women wearing those long scarves around the neck, being decapitated when the darn thing gets caught in an elevator door, construction site or during a car wreck. Ditch the scarf, it is a safety hazard and not worth losing one's head over fashion.

  15. Of all the kinds of sweaters there are, a cabled cardigan is always going to be one of my favorites! You look splendid in this one...I used to wear sandals clear into November when I was teaching. I didn't put shoes on until it snowed!

    1. Aw, thank you! That's how I am with my closed toed shoes; though the past few years we've had below freezing weather without snow and I won't wear flip flops then either but I definitely seem to wear them much longer into the fall than anyone else I know.

  16. Love the colour of your sweater! You look great. I am still wearing shorts but did just comment that it's maybe getting to be the time to sling on some jeans again.

  17. Hi Jo - am I noticing a new look for your blog? It seems fresher and more 'clean'. I really like whatever you've done to change things around. And your outfit looks great too - I always love those fresh sherbet-y colours - they're very trans-seasonal.

  19. I got tickled at you wearing your flippies with a cozy look. That made me smile. What a pretty cardigan. I need a couple that I can wear buttoned up like that. Much cozier that way. Pretty color palette, too. You almost blend in with the colors on the trail behind you. Glad to see the leaves changing. Fall has finally arrived somewhere!!
