Weigh- In Wednesdays in August 2024

After rejoining Weight Watchers at the very end of April (on the 26th to be exact). I knew I wanted to reinstate my Weigh- In Wednesdays posts.  I thought I'd make it a link party if you'd like to join in. On the third Wednesday of every month I'll have a new post/party up for everyone to share workout tips, weight loss thoughts and ideas, and healthy recipes to fuel us on our journey to better health.

I weighed in at 164.2 at our last link up and while my weight has been ALL over the place this month I've never seen 164 again as my weight went right back up the very next day. I did feel like I ate really healthy for the most part. Having picked up a box of fresh fruit and veggies each week I've been eating so many plant heavy meals and we mostly ate at home all month which also makes it a bit easier to eat healthier.

omelet with broccoli & mushrooms

veggies, fruit and a "cheat" of peanut butter and chocolate rice cake

roasted veggies, salad, and my Weight Watchers American chop suey

chicken fajita salad

One of my favorite meals was combining roasted butternut squash, roasted zucchini/squash & a sprinkle of feta cheese

Veggies with a chicken & veggie wrap

I feel like I have done a pretty good job adding more exercise into my weeks too. While it was still too hot and muggy and rainy for most of the month to bother with any walking or hiking I have started adding in at home exercise routines for those 2 days a week (M-F) I don't get to the gym with my mom. I've been enjoying Pilates, yoga, and stability ball exercises once again. I just got a new fitness tracker watch last week so that should help me a whole lot.

Hopefully all this hard work will pay off soon!

  1. Good job on eating so healthy! All the fresh vegetables make it much easier, I find, to eat healthier in the summer.

  3. Your meals look good, especially that fish. I haven't made fish that way in a long time. I am up and know I need to add more exercise. It's super hot here too so I'm not walking as much either. Have a good day!

  5. After indulging with ice cream for the last 5 days, I am a glutton and don't stop at one half the time, I decided to give myself a goal of till my birthday (which I thought was 2 weeks but it's 3 ) of no desserts! Of course, I made banana chocolate muffins today, but I will resist them! Love the meals you have been making. I know I usually have to increase protein to do a better job.

    1. It's a white fish like cod or haddock or pollock topped with buttered, seasoned Ritz cracker crumbs: https://www.myslicesoflife.com/2021/05/new-england-style-baked-fish.html
