Talking About It Tuesdays #32
Hello August! I know many people in the Southern Hemisphere are glad to see August since it means winter is nearly over and that many people in the southern part of the states are already headed back (if not already back) to school. Here in New England we have just about a full month left of summer vacation and I am trying to soak up every last day!
The link with the most views from last week's party:
Nantucket- Where to Eat & Stay by Lyssy in the City
A few that caught my eye:
Suncatcher DIY with Buttons and Chicken Wire by Birdz of a Feather
Chocolate Espresso Zucchini Bread by Our Tiny Nest
This party will remain open until the weekend. My hope is that everyone will share all sorts of wonderful posts: travel, recipes, how to's, crafting ideas, and more. Anything that is family friendly is welcome; even old posts that you'd like to get some new views.

Oh my goodness thank you so much for sharing my chocolate espresso zucchini bread! I hope you have a great week!

DeleteOur school district starts on the 15th of this month. Of course, no kids in the district for us for the first time in 18 years :(. Thanks for the link up!
ReplyDeleteI don't even know when our local school districts start up... but I'm guessing a few days before Labor day weekend.
DeleteSo glad August is here.. Bring on September and I’ll be even happier. Summer can’t arrive quick enough. That espresso zucchini bread looks delicious and I’ve bookmarked it. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteIt was fun to read about the Nantucket spots! Love everyone's take :) That zucchini bread looks delish too!
ReplyDeleteHave you been to any of them?
DeleteJoanne,
ReplyDeletewe are getting a break from the heat for the upcoming week with 6 days predicted to only be in the 70's!!! And much needed rain from Hurricane Debby, hopefully not too much rain...
Thanks so much for hosting!! I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into it along with visiting all the links!!

Yes! We are getting lots and lots of rain this week too. But I'm hoping the cooler weather might mean a couple of hikes for us.
DeleteOne of our goals is to get to the East Coast and see all there is to see, all of your posts have helped to make that a real possibility! Thanks for hosting, have a great week ahead. Melynda @scratchmadefood!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteThat Chocolate espresso bread looks delicious, but I wonder if it tastes like coffee? I'm always sad to see August because then I know summer is almost over.
ReplyDeleteI bet not since it also has cocoa in it; I make a similar one with instant espresso grounds and cocoa powder and it has more of a mocha flavor. I'm not a coffee drinker but I love that zucchini bread.
DeleteOh how I wish I was back in Nantucket eating that ice cream! I'm so ready for the fall.
ReplyDeleteOh I bet! I can't wait to get back to Nantucket. I can't believe it's been 5 years since our last trip out there.
DeleteOur school year in Minnesota also begins after Labor Day so we still have a third of summer left in our world! YAY! Thanks for hosting this fun link up each Tuesday, Joanne! So fun to see what everyone is up to each week!
ReplyDeleteYay for that!
DeleteOh I'm eyeing that Nantucket ice cream right up top!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it look so good?!
DeleteOur schools start this week! I'm empty nesting now, though, so I still get a couple more weeks off before I go back to school--I'm an adjunct instructor at a university and at a community college. I'm enjoying the sunshine and green while I can. :) Thanks for hosting this linkup!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your school year! I love the community colleges near us; they have such a personal feel compared to larger universities.
DeleteI really loved that button suncatcher too!
ReplyDeleteI thought that was so colorful and cute!
DeleteAugust seems too early to start school. I’m glad you have another month. Thanks for the link-up!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteAugust always makes me a little sad that summer is almost over but I'm going to try and extend it into September this year!
ReplyDeleteI try to extend it into September too; in fact when we were homeschooling we used to take our "summer" vacation in September (and one year we even went in October!).
DeleteThat peace sign is SO COOL!!
ReplyDeleteI thought so too; and it doesn't sound super hard to make either.
DeleteEnjoy the rest of your vacation.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Joanne, for hosting weekly. Enjoy your week.

ReplyDeleteThat is such a relief to hear!
DeleteThanks so much for hosting! Have a great August!

You're welcome!
DeleteThe ice cream in that first photo looks amazing. Anyhow...I can't even believe summer is almost over. In some ways it has gone slow and in some ways it has gone super, super fast. Here is to hoping that the rest of August will go smoothly (did I just jinx myself? Uh-oh!)
ReplyDeleteI hope not!
DeleteI always enjoy this link up. Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteI love that suncatcher! I may have to make something like that! Thanks for the link party, Joanne!

It really is eye catching with all the pretty colors.
DeleteThat chocolate zucchini bread looks good! I haven't been baking much this summer. Once the weather cools off, maybe I will be inspired to do so again. Right now I am craving fresh foods but haven't been inspired in the kitchen. Have a good week, Joanne!

I finally baked a loaf of chocolate/espresso zucchini bread this week but that's mostly because we have been stuck inside with lots of rain.
DeleteThanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! Thank you, I hope you have a wonderful week as well.
DeleteYes, school is starting here in Texas, Joanne, and it’s so hot! Thank you for hosting and have a great week.
ReplyDeleteOh I bet! I assume Texas schools have air conditioning? Most of our schools don't..
