Prime Purchases in May

I bought so many clothing and shoe items this month-- but most of it was not for me! I often have better luck finding Alec's clothes on line because he needs an extra long 36" inseam which is so hard to find especially with athletic pants for guys. Then once I ordered him pants I ended up ordering him lots of other clothes too. He hates buying new clothes!

Mid-way through the month I decided to go through all my flip flops and get rid of some of the pairs I never wear. Then I decided to order myself 3 new pairs-- making sure to pick a brand that I already love.

Alec asked me to order him some new pants since his were getting to small; we ordered him 3 pairs and ended up buying 2 of each in various shades of black, navy, and gray.

I then went through his drawers and found that most of his shorts and t-shirts were sized medium (he wears an XL!) so I picked out some new shirts for him hoping to replace some of his old favorites-- all three are Harry Potter themed and had free returns so if he doesn't like them I can always return them.

I found this set of shorts; all with zippered pockets that I think he'll love

He's also been wearing his long sleeved flannel shirt over his t-shirt a lot this spring but has to wear the sleeves rolled up (since it too is a medium!). I went on a hunt to find him a few long sleeved shirts in his size in colors I think he'd like- he wears a lot of blue and teals.

I settled on this one

and this one.

I picked out a few last minute things for Alec's grad party:

This cupcake holder

and this fun "Who knows the graduate best?" game

We really needed to replace our nonstick fry pans and I love this GreenLife brand/set.  We owned these in blue and they lasted us several years of near daily use.

I was influenced by Jen to try these new sunglasses; I love the color of the lenses

  1. Hi Jo - I love how you do online shopping so well. I rarely buy anything these days - nowhere to wear new clothes (I have so many that are perfectly fine in my wardrobe already!) and no kids to buy for anymore. I've got a bit of cash in my Paypal account and maybe I need to look into doing a little online spending with it :)

  2. When my son went away to college, I went through the items he left behind and was shocked at all the smaller size clothes in his closet and wardrobe. I must not have gone through his closet during his teen years when he was at home. You got some great items for Alec and for his party.

    1. Ha! I think boys just do not care at all... he'd happily have kept right on wearing them (and did pull a few shirts and shorts back out of the pile I had taken out of his drawers).

  4. What would we do without Amazon! I am ordering so many things instead of going in the stores.

  5. Amazon makes life easier. We're having coffee on the porch this morning and decided we need new flameless candles. Bam! They'll be here tomorrow. I like your flip flops...you've reminded me I need a new pair too. Have a nice day.

    1. It is a wonderful holder because you can flip the cupcake part over and it's just a flat white surface so you can use it for brownies or cookies too!

  13. I love the flip flops! I don't buy many clothes for the kids anymore since they seem to have their own style, but they know they can order things they might need. I know what you mean about finding all the smaller sizes in the dresser...ha, ha. It looks like we were both influenced to buy the sunglasses! Thanks for linking up!
