Cards I Made in April
I made a half dozen cards in April but no scrapbook pages so this will be a nice and short post this month.
I tried a few fun new techniques this month using Distressed Oxide spray inks. It was fun and super messy (I think my hand were aqua/turquoise for a few days!) but I like that they work equally well on dark and light backgrounds.
You made some super cute cards. Good for you for experimenting with new techniques. I laughed about the turquoise hands. The perils of being an artist.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much; and it sure is. Especially those blue and green tones...
DeleteThe graduation invite turned out so cute!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I've had to whip up a few more today (it seems like he remembers a few more people each day!).
DeleteYou're so creative!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThe one with the button is stunning! Those colors... Of course my favorite is the one that I received from you :). Have a great Monday!
ReplyDeleteAw, I am so glad!! The one with the button is based on a color scheme we were given for our card exchange and I just LOVE those colors together now.
DeleteThe cards look beautiful, you are so creative! The colour blue is always so hard to get off the skin. Whenever I mix the powder paint at work and it gets on my hands I have blue hands for 2 days. It even goes up my nose and then I have blue you know what.

Thank you so much-- and that last line really made me laugh.
DeleteI love those cards! You are so good at doing this; don't you love having a hobby like that?
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you! I sure do.
DeleteYour cards are just plain beautiful! (A contradiction in terms). They're all so detailed and colorful. Happy Monday! #MMBC
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteSuch a great assortment of cards and it's always fun to try new techniques. I have Dylusions sprays which are similar to Oxide sprays and yes they can be so messy! It's been a while since I used them.
ReplyDeleteIt really is fun!
DeleteSo adorable and springy!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteGreat job, they're adorable!

DeleteYou made the graduation invitations? That's incredible
ReplyDeleteBut I just love your cards Joanne.
Do you ever sell them to people?
Xoxo
Jodie
Aw, thank you! My husband thought I was crazy to make them but it only took me one afternoon once I settled on the style. I used to try to sell completed cards at craft fairs back when I was a Stampin Up! demonstrator but never developed an online shop or anything. They never really sold though.
DeleteYou are so creative, Joanne! I love the one with the mums (I think)!

Thank you! That was a get well card I sent to Maria after her surgery and I had fun with that... though based on the name of the stamp set I'm pretty sure they're succulents.
DeleteYou are so talented! The flower design with the button in the middle is my absolute favorite! What a lovely gift to give the people in your life!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteYou are so creative. I love them all.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Dawn

ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteI love them all! I always get in a mess when using spray inks. The last time I used blue, I looked like something from the Avatar movie! :)
ReplyDeleteYes! That's exactly what my fingers looked like. LOL
