Cards I Made in April

I made a half dozen cards in April but no scrapbook pages so this will be a nice and short post this month.

I tried a few fun new techniques this month using Distressed Oxide spray inks. It was fun and super messy (I think my hand were aqua/turquoise for a few days!) but I like that they work equally well on dark and light backgrounds.

I also made just over 2 dozen invitations for Alec's graduation party.

  1. You made some super cute cards. Good for you for experimenting with new techniques. I laughed about the turquoise hands. The perils of being an artist.

    1. Aw, I am so glad!! The one with the button is based on a color scheme we were given for our card exchange and I just LOVE those colors together now.

  4. The cards look beautiful, you are so creative! The colour blue is always so hard to get off the skin. Whenever I mix the powder paint at work and it gets on my hands I have blue hands for 2 days. It even goes up my nose and then I have blue you know what.

  7. Such a great assortment of cards and it's always fun to try new techniques. I have Dylusions sprays which are similar to Oxide sprays and yes they can be so messy! It's been a while since I used them.

    1. Aw, thank you! My husband thought I was crazy to make them but it only took me one afternoon once I settled on the style. I used to try to sell completed cards at craft fairs back when I was a Stampin Up! demonstrator but never developed an online shop or anything. They never really sold though.

    1. Thank you! That was a get well card I sent to Maria after her surgery and I had fun with that... though based on the name of the stamp set I'm pretty sure they're succulents.
