Cards and Scrapbooking Pages I Made in March

I had a fun month of crafting. I made Easter cards for the family using some pretty spring patterned paper and basic stamps with markers.

I continued combining patterned paper with stamps/ makers for some birthday cards. You'll notice I like to add a bit of dimension to each card either with ribbon, or a cut out piece I pop up, some sequins or gems. Just a little something to elevate my cards from flat and boring.

My uncle (step- uncle? My step-father's brother whom I've known since I was like 5) passed away after a long, drawn out battle with cancer and I had to make up some sympathy cards for the family

On a lighter, more fun note, I scrapbooked our cruise and found that double page spreads worked best for all the photos I had!

I also worked on blogging some of our family moments

I am all caught up on scrapbooking!

  2. Hi Jo - your scrapbooking reminds me a little of my collaging - and I always like a double page spread when I do something new - it gives everything room to breathe. The sympathy cards were lovely, and I smiled at your Easter ones - very cute!

    1. I really liked the Elms but that could be because we saw it all decorated for Christmas and I loved the decorations!! Rosecliff (the one shown here) was another favorite; because it was much smaller than the others and felt less intimidating.

  5. I love all of these, Joanne! I used to love scrapbooking, but I eventually gave it up for this blog. I'm sure that it's therapeutic to do that kind of thing!

    1. Aw, thank you. He had a very long and difficult battle with cancer and while we'll miss him there is also such relief in knowing his pain is over.

  11. Gosh, you are so good to keep us with your scrapbooking this way. I'm one of those people who love to look through them but I haven't been good about putting them together.
And the cards are fabulous. I try to keep some sympathy cards in stock for those times. Please accept our condolescences for your loss.

  12. I love seeing what you've done. The birthday cards might be my favorite, but it's hard to tell! They're all wonderful. I love your scrapbook pages, too. I'm a memory-keeping consultant, and I always encourage people to do something they love (easy digital, more creative scrapbooking, etc.) because then it's easy to be consistent. That's how I personally stay caught up on my scrapbooking--I have fun doing it. :) Congrats on being caught up, too! Thanks for sharing at the Will Blog for Comments #31 linkup. Hope to see you next time, too.
