Favorite TV Shows Growing Up in the 80's and early 90's

Do you remember the TGIF lineups on Friday nights? I can remember planning sleepovers and time with friends around TV Show lineups of our favorite shows... or else trying to set the VCR to record our favorite shows if we weren't going to be home. And through the years I had SO MANY favorites! Things That Make Me Laugh

I loved the challenge of this week's list for our 26 lists link up.  I don't know about you but I really need to laugh more lately.  It's such a great stress reliever. 1.  Books-- I love a good funny book that makes me laugh out loud.  I haven't read one in a while but if you have any recommendations I'm all ears.  The last book I can remember making me laugh was the Un-Honeymooners. 2  The boys being silly. 3.  Watching shows like America's Funniest Videos or Family Feud. 4. My husband.  Most people don't realize it but he's actually pretty funny and often makes me laugh. 5.  Whenever my sisters/ family get together and we get to reminiscing (particularly if my Aunt Elaine is around) we end up laughing so hard at all the old family stories that we are all in tears by the end of the night.  It's fabulous. 6. Gratitude and Highlights Each Day in March

 March was a pretty cold and blustery month but we had a few warm and sunny days mixed in so we know spring is on its way! We made the most of our month and with the two younger boys having 2 different weeks off for spring break we had a couple of fun outings too.  1. So grateful that Alec didn't seem upset we couldn't file his taxes at all this year.  Spent the day working on taxes, paying bills, and getting frustrated when both boys tax forms were rejected several times... Ian's finally went through but Alec's never did. We finally gave up after a couple of hours since he doesn't HAVE to file and was only getting $30 back. 4,552 steps.  The only photo I took the whole day was of my lunch! 2. So thankful for a delicious evening with the WHOLE family!  Started the morning grocery shopping, did a quick once over cleaning of most of the house since Alec's friend was coming over for the day and the two spent their time painting. Western Caribbean Cruise; Day 1: Boarding the Ship

We were scheduled to board our ship, the Celebrity Apex, at 12:30, but our hotel shuttle dropped us off at 11 and we were assured we could check in early.  Check in was a breeze and everyone was so helpful and nice.   We began exploring the ship, went to our room to check it out:  We went to a complimentary lunch at the Tuscan Restaurant. It was delicious.  I had Caesar salad, baked salmon (that I forgot to photograph) and chocolate cake.  We walked around exploring some more and then around 2 we headed to our room to unpack.   View of other ships at port too We watched as the ship was guided out of port and    dressed for dinner We went to Cosmopolitan where I got French onion soup and ravioli.   ...

Alec's SCAP (Senior Culinary Arts Project) Assignment and Meal

We have been hearing all about Alec's SCAP assignment all year; it counts for something like 75% of their final grade but luckily it is broken down into 10 or so mini assignments throughout the year.  Yesterday he presented his meal and we were allowed to invite up to 7 family members/friends to taste it. He won't know his grade until everyone in the class has gone but I'm pretty sure he crushed it.  Our meal was delicious.  Here are the assignments the project was broken down into: 1. Pick a region and research culture, history of native ingredients, and cooking methods and write an essay about what they discovered.-- He picked GREECE! 2. Figure out what native ingredients they wanted to work with and design a menu; each menu had to have a native fruit in their dessert and a native protein for their entree.  They had to come up with a 4 course meal: bread, appetizer, main dish and dessert.  The main dish had to have a protein, vegetable, and a starch.  3. ...
