Favorite Fantasy Movies
I find the more I get into this favorite movie series, the harder it gets to not overlap or rename some movies from list to list but I do try my best to check the previous lists. I would have thought that this list of fantasy movies would be my shortest ever since I'm not usually a bit fantasy fan but I was surprised to find I had more favorites than I thought.
1. Harry Potter
2.Michael
3. Edward Scissorhands
4. Enchanted
5. The Princess Bride
6. Field of Dreams
7. 13 Going on 30
8. Phenomenon
9. Powder
10. Teen Wolf
11. 16 Wishes
12. Hook
13. Night at the Museum
14. Percy Jackson
15. Back to the Future
16. 17 Again
18. The Adam Project
19. Pleasantville
20. Zookeeper
Others in this series:
I have never seen Edward Scissorhands but was just telling my daughter about it and how we should see it. We will definitely check it out. Thanks for your recs!
ReplyDeleteIt would make a fun movie night for this time of year especially.
DeleteI have only watched 'The Princess Bride' which I totally love and '13 Going On 30'. I'll have to add more fantasy films to my list.

My husband loves The Princess Bride and insisted all the boys watch it; that was the first time I had seen it.
DeleteThe chronicles of Narnia, snow white and the huntsman, the brothers Grimm, LOTR of course ;) , excalibur, neverending story, honey, I shrunk the kids, finding neverland ...
ReplyDeleteOh I forgot about Honey I Shrunk the Kids; I loved that! I thought Neverending Story was much too long and boring (and truly felt like it would never end!) and feel much the same way about LOTR despite having some huge fans of the series in the house. But I know that fantasy is not really my genre.
DeleteJoanne,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by!! All great movies but anything with John Travolta in it would be my go to movies!! LOL!! Loved him since he was on Welcome Back Cotter.... I hope you have a great weekend!!
Hugs,
Deb
I remember him from Welcome Back Cotter too!
DeleteBack To The Future and Pleasantville are two of my faves too!
ReplyDeleteI had forgotten about many of these. I’ll check them out.
ReplyDeleteI hope you like them!
DeleteThere are some really good ones on here and some I haven't seen that I will look into!
ReplyDeleteI hope you like them!
DeleteI love your list of movies and enjoy watching Night at the Museum. I hope you have a nice weekend Joanne.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThese are all light fantasy I think! I used to love Edward Scissorhands!
ReplyDeleteProbably; I am not a real fantasy fan.
DeleteI loved a lot of these movies, yet wouldn't have thought to call them all fantasy. Great list,

Thanks! I rely a lot on Google to help me classify them; so many movies fall into so many categories that sometimes it's hard to decide where to put them.
DeleteI've seen lots of these movies and had forgotten about Michael and Powder. I really liked those. Hook made me cry for some reason. Many, many good movies, here, Joanne!

I nearly forgot those 2 too!
DeleteI haven't seen a lot of these movies. I am more a horror and thriller girl. But I love to go to the movies! Tonight actually, Oppenheimer! Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh that is definitely not a genre I watch (or read for that matter!).
DeleteOhh! What a great genre of movies which I hadn't even thought of. Harry Potter will always be my favourite fantasy movie but I do love a lot of these! I had totally forgotten about Michael and Phenomenon! John Travolta really is a great actor.
ReplyDeleteYes, I could happily watch Harry Potter over and over again.
DeleteSuch a great list.. we have seen so many of these movies.. We watched Princess Bride just a few months ago.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteHarry Potter all the way! I LOVE these movie series!! You've inspired me, I started a Halloween movie series on my blog.
ReplyDeleteThis was a neat list: I have seen a lot of these but not all. I have only seen a couple of the Harry Potter movies.

Oh I think we've watched them all countless times. My boys were obsessed with Harry Potter when they were younger and we read through the books and watched the movies several times.
