August's Prime Purchases

Since it's the first Monday of the month it's time for Tanya's Prime Purchases party.  I bought hardly anything on Amazon last month so this should be a pretty short post!

I did buy this pretty pink kimono I've been wearing.

Evan decided he wanted to try learning piano this year so I bought him this book and keyboard; it's for his "music" credit and I really hope he likes it. (I know it seems expensive but compared to other high school curriculum it really isn't).

I bought this new fall sweater and a plain black tank to wear under it.

And, finally I bought this cute linen blazer that I thought would be perfect for early fall (and then again in spring).

    1. I will! It comes with access to online lessons too so I've already warned him it's something HE needs to be sure to do most days like Duolingo-- both lessons that have zero to do with me!

  7. I love that you got a blazer. They are so fabulous for any season really. And that kimono? Just wait until next week, because I'll have some ways you can wear it and switch it up.

  8. Oh, that sweater looks amazing! I can't wait to see it! Good luck to your son with the piano playing. My son taught himself to play, too. I forget what he used to do it, though.

  14. I used that exact same piano book during the covid 2020 lockdown. I played 90% of that book, and then once the kids finally went back to school, a full year later, I quit. I miss it. But now I've moved and I don't even know where the cord to my keyboard is. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. ~ April (storiesofourboys.com)

    1. Thank you! Now that I think about it; I'm not sure he even bothered to play today... I'll have to get on him about it tomorrow.
