What's In My Handbag with Not Just A Mom
This month our Not Just a Mom group is looking at what's in our handbags. I did a very similar post years ago.. and I'm betting not much has changed!
Before starting this post I did look back at my old post from 2020 (here) and funny enough up until the end of July even the phone would have been the same! The guy at Verizon said my phone was from 2016 or 2017 so it was definitely time for an upgrade. I hate getting new phones though so I avoided it as long as possible.
Right now I'm using a Vera Bradley zippered tote; I pretty much only have Vera Bradley bags with matching purses and I have quite a collection now as I get one nearly every summer for my birthday and one at Christmas.
And that's it! I was able to ditch the other small bag with tampons and pads after my surgery and since my boys are all fully grown I no longer carry any of their assorted odds and ends I used to have.
I do like a big purse though so I can fit a book in there when I'm going to the doctor's office or any sort of appointment where I might be waiting around.
I hope you'll join us next month when we look at our hobbies.
I like the small bag within the bag- that is a great way to store small essentials. I also like your Vera Bradley bag and matching wallet. I love coordination of fabrics; if I had a VB bag, I'd definitely want the matching wallet.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteYour bag is gorgeous! I love the matching purse too. You really don't have much in it, I seem to carry a lot more around with me.
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you so much! I don't carry much around anymore; though today I did tuck a camera into my purse.
DeleteI love the pretty tote bag. My kind of colors and it's wonderful that you get new ones at least once or twice a year. I bet you have a great collection. #MMBC
ReplyDeleteThank you! I do have quite a collection.
DeleteI too like your tote bag. I like the way you keep everything organized in your bag and I do the same thing. I can't wait to see what's in everyones bag. Thanks for the fun link up!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm so glad you enjoy it and link up with us each month.
DeleteCute tote and wallet pattern!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI agree on needing room for a book!
ReplyDeleteYES! Absolutely.
DeleteAll the essentials! I carry very similar items in mine :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI should start carrying mints in my bag too. And I CAN'T WAIT to ditch the menstrual products :) I do put my Kobo in my bag when I know I'm going to be waiting somewhere.
ReplyDeleteI have 1 boy that doesn't like gum so I keep mints and gum with me. I love not having any menstrual products with me!!
DeleteThis is a fun post Joanne. I call my purse a kitchen sink purse. It's full and heavy. Lol.
ReplyDeleteVisiting today from SSPS #39&40
xo
Thank you! I used to have a kitchen sink purse when my boys were little.
DeleteI'm all about a minimalist bag. I've never carried much in my purse. I once thought of ditching it all together but it just felt too weird - lol!
ReplyDeleteYes! I have a hard time not having one at all but often leave it in the car when I'm out and about and just carry my keys and wallet.
DeleteI too always have mints and few tissues and a small pill box in my purse. I have a separate slightly larger purse I keep on the ready that fits a book which I take to doctors visits etc.. I just move my wallet from one bag to the other.
ReplyDeleteThat makes it nice and quick and easy!
DeleteI love my Altoids. I bring them everywhere I go!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been able to find my favorite cinnamon Altoids anywhere!
DeleteI like a bigger purse some days to stow away my jacket or scarf for the air conditioned stores.
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Jodie
I tend to just tuck my jacket or scarf through the handles and carry it that way.
DeleteYou have a very neat handbag! Thanks for sharing with SSPS!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteYour handbag is so organized! Mine, as my husband so aptly says, must contain a cure for cancer because it's so full haha
ReplyDeleteLOL! Mine was like that too when the kids were little!
DeleteMy purse always seems to be heavy even though there's not much in it. It's probably my wallet and all the change in it. No menstrual products is a good thing!

Yes, I find I have to regularly empty the change out of my wallet or it weighs everything down.
DeleteI'm impressed by how little you have in there! I bet it's so quick and easy to find what you want. I also LOVE Vera Bradley bags.
ReplyDeleteLauren @ Don't Mind Our Mess
Yes, it really is; I can even find things quickly without looking while driving.
DeleteWe are always curious what others carry in their bags! Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteI love the colours on your beautiful bag and the matching purse is just too cute.
ReplyDeleteRuth@playworkeatrepeat
Thank you!
DeleteI love the size of your tote. I may have to look into one.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteSaw this post at SSPS#274. Looks like your bag is spacious and blog party is loaded with fun posts. My shares at SSPS#274 are #169 through 173. Wishing you a great day. Nancy Andes at Colors 4 Health.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I like to keep a spacious bag so I have room for a book and other things I might need on any given day (like my big camera).
DeleteI like to carry something spacious so I can toss a book inside, too! I have a feeling my bag is part of the reason why my neck is so messed up, though!
ReplyDeleteIt might be! I have heard that big bags pull on your neck and shoulder.
DeleteWe have similar handbag habits, but your Vera Bradly is much newer and nicer than mine! LOL And yes, a book! That's another reason I use the tote - so I can stick a book or my kindle in it and be prepared for a waiting room.
ReplyDeleteLOL! I just got mine for Christmas (I picked out my own gifts to put under the tree this year).
DeleteYour bag is so pretty! I love the matching wallet. Your pop socket is cute too! I like that I carry a small bag most of the time (which typically fits my Kindle), but I do like when I have a bigger bag, I can throw a book in there.
ReplyDeleteI could definitely get away with a smaller bag now that I have my kindle reader; it's much smaller and lighter than the old Kindle!
