Favorite "high School" Movies
I hope you all have been enjoying this series as much as I have. As you can tell by my previous posts (here, here, and here), I am a HUGE movie buff.
While I know "high school movies" is not really a genre, there are so many movies that I really enjoy that are set in high school.. or set during the high school years. They're super cute and they make me laugh (or perhaps smile).

5. 10 Things I hate About You
6. The Breakfast Club
7. Ferris Bueller's Day off
8. The princess Diaries
9. Sixteen Candles
10. Say Anything
11. Can't Buy Me Love
12. Twilight
13. Some Kind of Wonderful
14. Pretty in Pink

DeleteA good list of high school movies!
ReplyDeleteI've not seen a few of these but Grease will forever be my number one fav!!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I didn't think of Grease! I guess because Olivia Newton John and the whole cast always seemed older to me than high school students. Plus I am going to have write a whole separate post with musicals!

Definitely! I have a whole post percolating in my head too about old timey TV shows I grew up with and fell in love with.
DeleteClassics!
ReplyDeleteI think of them that way; I try to get my boys to watch them too as I insist everyone should see these at some point in their life.
DeleteOh, there are some favorites here (and others I've never seen). I definitely loved Clueless and Weird Science. I only liked Twilight because my co-workers and I went to see it and had a blast!

DeleteSome great choices here including some of my own favorites and some I've not seen. May need to plan an movie night soon!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, that would be fun. I'm always up for a good movie night.
DeleteI love so many of these too! Can't Buy Me Love is such a forgotten gem. I remember when I found out Patrick Dempsey was "McDreamy," and I was like, huh? Ronnie Miller?? Such an excellent career progression, haha. I also looooved Some Kind of Wonderful! For at least a year, that was my pick any time we'd rent a movie at my mom's house!
ReplyDeleteI felt the same way too! LOL.
DeleteYou got two of my favs in Pump of the Volume and Some of Kind of Wonderful. Where is Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Teachers.
ReplyDeleteI vaguely remember Fast Times but have never heard of Teachers-- I'll have to check that one out!
Delete10 Things is my ultimate fav. I used to keep it on my dvr and watch it whenever I felt blue.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy the whole fake dating trope in books and movies; they always fall for each other after that.
DeleteI've seen and enjoyed so many of these movies! There's a couple that I've never watched and probably should!
ReplyDeleteYou probably should! They're light and fun.
DeleteI am the QUEEN of 90's teen movies! That is one of my favorite genres. 10 Things I Hate About You is one of my all-time favorite movies! Have you ever seen Can't Hardly Wait?? That one is excellent!! And American Pie, too!
