How I Did on my Holiday Bucket List
With the holidays firmly behind us I figured it was the perfect time to check in and see how I did on my holiday bucket list. Turns out I did pretty well!
1. Finish up and mail out my Christmas cards-- Check! You can check them out here.
1 of the 4 designs I made |
2. Get all gifts bought, wrapped, and under the tree by mid- December-- Check! I had everything done by December 12th.
3. Decorate the house; including the basement this year!-- Check! (You can see our holiday home tour here)
4.Watch ALL my holiday favorite movies! -- Check! (I even checked out a few "new" ones this year)
5. Read lots of Christmas themed books- Check!
6. Have a family dinner in front of the fire while watching a movie-- Nope!
7. Enjoy a cup of hot cocoa-- Check!
8. Bake up some yummy treats-- Check!
This photo is from last year but we did bake up 2 batches of Christmas Crack this year |
10. Get together with my family for Christmas Eve-- Check!
12. Donate food and toys to local drives-- 1/2 a check! (I donated some food but didn't see anyplace collecting toys this year)

That's a brilliant result! You checked off most of your things on your bucket list. That's so great and it was a fun bucket list too!

Thanks!
DeleteAwesome job Joanne! Doesn't it seem like a year ago already? So strange!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was pretty pleased with that.
DeleteThe food looks amazing! You did a really good job with your holiday bucket list ;)
ReplyDeleteWe definitely had some delicious foods again this year.
DeleteWay to go! You had a fabulous holiday season and all of your decorations looked beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
DeleteThat's so great you donated food. I need to remember to do that.

Our grocery stores make it so easy-- one has a giant bin near the exit to collect any non-perishable items and another keeps flats of cans and pasta right on the side of the check out belt with a "food pantry" sign so I'll just grab a bunch and say this is for the food pantry and they whisk it away right after swiping.
DeleteWe have that Harry Potter mug! It's so cute and is a favorite of ours for hot cocoa. We love saltine toffee too. I can't believe it but we had 6 batches between parties and giving to neighbors. That goes fast!
ReplyDeleteI think we made 3 batches this year-- we tried a Butterfinger version and a s'mores version on top of our traditional plain version.
DeleteI used to have that same hot chocolate maker! Wow, that unlocked a core memory!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you all had a lovely holiday season. ❤️
I thought that hot chocolate maker would never last... but we use it each winter all winter long (I have one boy that LOVES his WHITE hot cocoa!).
DeleteJoanne,
ReplyDeletePretty much the ones you did not get to do are the ones I did not get to either!! Hopefully, we have next year, God willing!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Happy and Healthy New Year yo you and your family!!
Hugs,
Deb
Thanks, Deb!
DeleteWell done you! You did great with the bucket list. This year I am planning on getting all the presents bought and also wrapped by at least the first week in December.
ReplyDeleteThank you! That's my usual goal (or at least to have MOST of them done by then.. )
DeleteWell done on a very festive season!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI did read quite a few really cute ones this year! My favorites were The Holiday Swap and Last Christmas in Paris (though that one seemed more historical fiction than anything having to do with Christmas).
ReplyDeleteMine was mostly because no one wanted to go driving around with me! I was hoping for a quick drive Christmas eve but it was far too cold and much too late by the time we left my mother's.
ReplyDeleteI really like your holiday card. You are so creative! We didn't do as many festive things this year because we were so busy with Rachel's dance.
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteYou did great! We didn't really have time to see Christmas lights until we went to NYC. Blessings, Dawn
ReplyDeleteOh I bet you got to see lots of lights in NYC!
DeleteGreat job on your bucket list! The food looks awesome, and your decorations are warm and inviting.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteAlmost everything achieved! And now on to some new ones.
ReplyDeleteYep! I'll be creating a winter bucket list soon... just not sure everything I want to put on it yet.
DeleteYour Christmas tree is so pretty. The Christmas brunch looks delish!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteRight?! I thought I did pretty good.
