Styling Skinny Jeans with Ageless Style

 This month the Ageless style group is looking at how we style skinny jeans or what our favorite alternative might be.  I avoided skinny jeans for the longest time but, after dropping nearly 40 lbs. a couple of years ago using Weight Watchers, I've embraced the skinny jeans in a big way.

I think the majority of my jeans are either skinny jeans or jeggings and I just find them so comfortable and easy to style! 

Evan and I headed out for a walk one mild day last week and I had him snap a few photos of my latest skinny jean outfit.  I have this red coat from Stitch Fix that I just love wearing this time of year and it didn't hurt that it matched this old sweater I wore for a family photo just a few short years ago.



I wore a maroon turtleneck under my sweater and completed the outfit with a pair of skinny jeans and boots.  It's one of my go-to looks for fall and winter. 


My jingly bell earrings were not a hit with Evan on our walk but I love how festive they are!

      Mine are not either! I'm adding other styles to my jean pile but I won't be getting rid of any anytime soon.

    I am with you, I find them super comfortable and easy to move around in! I also think they look fantastic on you and I love that sweater. I gravitate to the maroon color in the fall as well and I really like that your sweater has subtle details in the sleeves and the neckline making it unique. Also, your coat is darling.     I definitely think skinny jeans will be something I wear throughout the years. No sense in throwing them out since they are so easy to style.

    I was the same, I used to avoid skinny jeans but if I wear jeans now they're the only type that I wear. What a fab outfit. I love your coat.

    Your whole outfit is adorable. The red coat and sweater and turtleneck are such a pretty shade. You were red very well. And your son did a great job photographing you. Doesn't hurt a bit that you live in such a pretty area and have such a great back drop for your photo shoot.

    "My jingly bell earrings were not a hit with Evan on our walk" made me laugh out loud. That coat is such a pretty color! I remember feeling so.scandalous. the first time I wore skinny jeans in 2007, which is hilarious to me now. They probably weren't even that "skinny" by today's standards!

Do you remember the TGIF lineups on Friday nights? Things That Make Me Laugh

I loved the challenge of this week's list for our 26 lists link up.  I don't know about you but I really need to laugh more lately.  It's such a great stress reliever. 1.  Books-- I love a good funny book that makes me laugh out loud.  I haven't read one in a while but if you have any recommendations I'm all ears.  The last book I can remember making me laugh was the Un-Honeymooners. 2  The boys being silly. 3.  Watching shows like America's Funniest Videos or Family Feud. 4. My husband.  Most people don't realize it but he's actually pretty funny and often makes me laugh. 5.  Whenever my sisters/ family get together and we get to reminiscing (particularly if my Aunt Elaine is around) we end up laughing so hard at all the old family stories that we are all in tears by the end of the night.  It's fabulous. 6.
