My Christmas Wish List

Most years when Christmas rolls around I have zero ideas for my friends and family.  I mean I always want new clothes and sweaters and nail polish and books but there isn't usually something specific I want.

This year I have been adding quite a few things to my wish list that I really hope I do get because I'm afraid I'm going to order them anyway if I don't! LOL.  Some of these items are larger/ big ticket things  and some are just small and cute and caught my eye.

1. Copic marker set-- I just started playing around with Stampin Up! stampin blends markers and I love the ease with which these marker colors blend and show shadow and light.  I used them to make my adorable polar bear in the blizzard card and just want a whole rainbow of colors at my fingers.  Since Stampin blends only come in packs of 2 I have my eye on a larger set like this!

2. Kindle paperwhite-- I have a Kindle and I do love it... but I can't read outside with it unless it's a pretty cloudy day or I'm in the shade as the glare makes it so hard to read.  I saw on Mix and Match Mama's post that not only is the paperwhite great for reading in the sun but it's also waterproof and I knew it was time to make the switch.  I only use my Kindle for reading anyway!

3. Vera Bradley Bag-- These are still my favorite bags and I have my eye on a couple of them.  I love this Paris Plaid pattern and I realized the other night that I don't have many bags for winter or with dark colors.

4. I always have my eye on various sweaters and shirts and clothing items.  I really love this pretty sweater.  It comes in so many lovely color varieties too.

5. I love sparkly things and these earrings are beautiful!

6. I always have a long list of books on my wishlist and having just read the first book in this series earlier this month I'm so anxious to get my hands on the next one: Pray for Silence.

7. Ugg slippers; I seem to be drawn to cozy slippers and always want a new pair! These look so soft and warm.

8. A portable charger for my cell phone-- something like this one.

9. Electric heated gloves; it seems like no matter what style of mitten or gloves I buy my hands still end up freezing so I've been eyeing these battery operated electric heated gloves.

10. Gift cards--  my mother in law asked me where I'd want gift cards to and I started making a list... I was surprised by how many places I could come up with that I enjoy shopping: Amazon, LL Bean, Land's End, Soft Surroundings, Vera Bradley, Barnes and Noble, The Paper Store, Talbot's, etc.

Do you have anything special on your Christmas Wishlist?

  1. I like your list- some practical items and some just fun items that you want because they're pretty! I hope you get much of what you want ;). I have a few things that I would like to get- a few them are in my Nordstrom shopping cart already. I may have to tell Santa to make a purchase... or just have his elf (me!) go ahead and do the "work" of completing the purchase, lol. I have some higher end make up than I normally purchase in my shopping bag and a cute Kate Spade bag.

  8. I feel like I need a new pair of slippers EVERY year. I wear them a ton and they get old and yucky!! I love that you say you'll buy them if you don't get them. That's how I am, haha.

    1. I've been seeing lots of battery- heated items for outdoor use like hats, vests, and jackets so I did a quick search for gloves and found them.

  10. Great ideas, Joanne! My kids and husband keep asking me for a list. I probably need to just sit down and make one. BTW...I bought a new Vera Bradley bag at the outlet mall in Asheville. Actually, Vera Bradley started about 20 miles from my hometown, and my sister sewed for them when they were first starting out. It was a bit of a cottage industry!

  11. Both Ryan and I have a Kindle Paperwhite, and we love them! They work perfectly in all lighting conditions, and we literally just use them for books, so they make perfect sense for us!

    1. I only ever use my Kindle for books too so I figured it made sense to switch it over since I can not read my Kindle Fire outside all summer.

  13. I always tell my daughter to get me some of those same things. Sweaters, accessories, books and vinyl. I got an early gift of the Stranger Things Soundtrack (Season 4) on vinyl which was nice. I think as I get older I can get the big ticket items, (if I choose) on my own. My friends and family know to gift me with Etsy gift cards, or Audible but I try to keep it simple. I know gift cards are a bit impersonal but with that I can get what I really want.

    2. I feel that same way; I often buy the larger ticket items on my own and I really like gift cards too but I do have a few family members that do not like to gift cash or gift cards.

  14. I like the markers and the phone charger. I hate this time of year when everyone starts asking what can they get me for Christmas.

    1. It can be so hard to think of gift ideas in multiple price ranges especially as I am so used to just going out and buying what I want.

  15. That portable charger will definitely come in handy! We use ours all the time!
