Wearing White in the Summer with Ageless Style

 This month's theme of "summer whites" was picked by Rosemary and I'll admit I was stumped at first.  I don't wear a lot of white.  While I love the look of crisp white dresses and shirts they tend to wash me right out.  

I was rummaging through my closet to pack for our trip and saw these white capri pants and knew I could pull a cute summer look together around them!

I loved this outfit; and best of all I was able to find most of it to link for my readers (these aren't affiliate links though).

I paired my white pants with this bright blue halter top and added in some matching accessories I bought years ago through Vera Bradley.



I decided this was the perfect time to try out my new sandals too.  My husband's step- mother buys me a new pair of sandals each year for my birthday and these were such a pretty neutral color. 





My favorite summer white look is a classic French Manicure!

    Love this outfit combination for summer! The cobalt blue just pops perfectly against the white and I adore the shape of that top. I always like a scalloped edge but I don't think I've actually ever owned anything in it.

    Very pretty, Joanne! I have exactly one pair of white capris--I feel too "pudgy" in them to wear them often. As an RN I wore a white uniform and white stockings most of my life and was happy to "retire" them along with myself ;)

      I have one pair of white capris and I think one pair of white jeans... that's about all the white in my wardrobe.

    You look cool as a cucumber in your pretty summer white outfit. What a gorgeous blue. Like that of the deepest pool of water. We used to visit a spring-fed lake when I was a little girl and it was so deep and the water so blue. Love the scalloped detailing on your halter. You have the best halters!! PC keeps telling me to go get a pedicure but I hate to pay for that. Might just do it this weekend. It has been a tough week.

    Same, being as fair as I am, I generally stay away from white. Wearing it on the bottom, though, is probably a good way to go! I really like the scallop detailing on your shirt!

    The royal blue looks so good paired with white! And you have such pretty jewelry added! I do love my white jeans and shorts but don't wear them a lot. They make me feel a bit too dressed up in my daily life which is pretty casual.

    You look so nice and I love the color of your top with the white capris. I only have one pair of white shorts, capris, and pants. I tend to forget about them unless I am going away on vacation and I'll wear them.

Do you remember the TGIF lineups on Friday nights? Favorite Moments and Memories of 2024

 Oh 2024... it was a challenging year for sure but we had so many fabulous moments and memories. I fully admit that many of my favorite memories this year have no pictures-- like Easter dinner with the family, Alec's acceptance day at JWU, etc. But I am more interested in being present these day then I am in getting the exact perfect photo. In January  we started the year with a big family breakfast out to lunch before my sister and nephews headed home. It's an awful picture but we were all laughing because my mom tried 4 times to get us all in there! Then a week or so later my husband and I did get to go on our cruise (we weren't sure right up until the last minute since my mother in law was in the hospital just before we left).  Roatan Grand Cayman We celebrated Alec's 18th birthday nearly a full month late in  February but he didn't mind. Things That Make Me Laugh

I loved the challenge of this week's list for our 26 lists link up.  I don't know about you but I really need to laugh more lately.  It's such a great stress reliever. 1.  Books-- I love a good funny book that makes me laugh out loud.  I haven't read one in a while but if you have any recommendations I'm all ears.  The last book I can remember making me laugh was the Un-Honeymooners. 2  The boys being silly. 3.  Watching shows like America's Funniest Videos or Family Feud. 4. My husband.  Most people don't realize it but he's actually pretty funny and often makes me laugh. 5.  Whenever my sisters/ family get together and we get to reminiscing (particularly if my Aunt Elaine is around) we end up laughing so hard at all the old family stories that we are all in tears by the end of the night.  It's fabulous. 6. Share 4 Somethings in December

Tomorrow is the last Saturday of the month and time for the Share 4 Somethings link up with Jennifer. We're flying home (if all goes well with our connections we should be home tomorrow morning-- though I am REALLY worried about the "adjustment" the airline company made so we now have a much shorter connection time than we planned!) so this wrap up is pretty much all about our trip to Hawaii!  Once again we'll be sharing some things we've  loved and/or disliked, accomplished, some things we've improved upon and/or that need improvement, and noticed.
