A New Spring Wreath

Today I am joining up with a group of bloggers for a Spring Craft challenge. This was just the push I needed to get my new wreath made for my front door.

I just LOVE how it turned out!

This year I decided to stick with a purple and white theme after finding a few floral stems on sale at our local Michael's store.  As always, I started by cutting the flowers off the stems and then tucking them into the grapevine wreath; playing and rearranging until I had an arrangement I liked.

Then I propped it up; stood back from it and left it for a a few hours before continuing to work. I find that bit of time and space helps me be more critical of my final result.

Then I began to slowly pull out each flower/bunch and hot glue them into place.

I love how it brightens up our front door and the purple pops nicely against the blue door.

I hope you'll stop by and see what my co-hosts have made:

  17. So so pretty, I love the purple with your door colour. I saw another Brit commented that we just don't see so many wreaths all year round here although you do see them now and again. You see a lot of Christmas wreaths here and then doors are normally plain the rest of the year. There is one person on my street that has a lovely wreath up all year round and sadly it's not me!!!

    1. I try to have a wreath or some sort of decoration up year round on our front door since I don't do a whole lot with decorating the outside of our home.
