Photos of the Week: February 26th 2022

I struggled a bit with a few of the prompts this week. I try to always have my post finished up by Thursday night and I still had two photos I needed to take!

 – backyard – Quarterly-- Standing on the edge of our patio looking at the lake.

– across the street-- You can't really see the street in this photo with all the snow but it is a view from my son's window across the street.

– starts with L I had a bunch of Lilies in bloom.

– next-- The train passed right next to us as we were driving home from school.

– choose anything – same vantage point

  2. Beautiful photos! The lilies are so pretty! We went for a short walk by the local lake yesterday. It still looks completely frozen and was covered in snow (it snowed the day before. So ready for spring but there is something special about winter photography!

  5. I love that snow photo, it's so beautiful how it blankets everything! :) It's interesting to see the lake frozen too! Nothing ever freezes here in Brisbane, haha!

Hope you are having a good weekend :) We are having a quiet one at home as we are flooded in with all the rain!

    1. Thank you! We had enough ice on the lake this year that people were driving 4 wheelers and snowmobiles over it.

    1. *sigh* We have sometimes gotten snow on Mother's day (which here in the US isn't until mid-May!). Luckily it does start to warm up sometime during March and the snow and ice disappear a bit faster with each storm.

  14. Gosh, Joanne, when I look at your lake, all I could think of was here in Australia's east coast, where the lakes and rivers are in flood. I know that these are exceptional times weather and climate wise but it's been heartbreaking for so many. Your photos have so much calm to them.... Thank you for sharing your blog post for the final #lifethisweek link up…you were part of my blogging history as it was the 280th link up!!

I look forward to having you link up when I am next back with #lifethismonth on Monday 14 March 2022. Same hours and days open as for #lifethisweek.

    Warm wishes,
    Denyse.

    1. Thank you! We typically worry more about flooding during spring rains/thaw so I can understand what your area of the country is going through.
