Monthly Meal Planning Menu #11

We did pretty good with our monthly meal planning this month.  We did eat out a few times rather unexpectedly so I had a few meal ideas I was able to just roll over onto December's calendar.  I also had to revamp a few of our menu items when Weight Watcher's changed their point system but over all just a few small tweaks and our month was pretty perfect.

1. My husband and I enjoyed a date night out at Mr. Z's after dropping Alec off at his karate pizza party and the other two boys got take out.

2. Weight Watchers American chop suey.

3. Pulled pork with rice and cooked vegetables.

4. Homemade chicken parmesan with whole grain pasta, sauce, and salad.

5. Baked fish, baked potato, and zucchini (the younger boys had chicken tenderloins with baked potatoes and salad).

6. Chicken, broccoli, and rice casserole made with brown rice (though only Evan and I ate it as Ian, my husband, and Alec headed out to dinner and then to Alec's karate demo).

7. Grilled steaks, roasted potatoes, and fresh asparagus

8. Pumpkin mac and cheese (you can't even taste the pumpkin, I promise!) with steamed broccoli

9. Stuffed acorn squash for my husband and I while the boys made French bread pizzas and French fries.  We all had salad too.

10. Pizza pork chops (though I make mine even easier by omitting the onion) with whole wheat spaghetti and salad.

11.  Chicken noodle soup with fresh bread (I used my normal/ favorite recipe but swapped out whole wheat noodles for a zero point bowl of soup for me!).

12. I made shrimp stir-fry with rice and Evan cooked up hot dogs for both him and Alec; we all had salad to go with dinner.

13.  Pineapple teriyaki chicken with roasted potatoes, peas, and salad.

14. Take out from Mr. Z's.

15. Tacos/taco salad/ nachos.

16. Tuscan chicken pasta with salad.

17. Pot roast, mashed potatoes, and butternut squash

18. Dinner at Outback steak house

19. Ham and vegetable alfredo lasagna (only 2 points per serving made with whole wheat lasagna noodles!) with salad.

20. Ben and I went to the movies so everyone just fended for themselves.

21. We had baked fish with rice and asparagus.

22. Homemade chicken fingers with green beans, salad, and sweet potato casserole (Ian made egg noodles for all the boys since they don't like green beans or sweet potato).

I tried a new recipe using sweet potatoes, brown sugar and pecans

23.  Ravioli and sauce with sautéed zucchini and salad.

24.  Homemade pizza and salad.

25.  Turkey day!-- Turkey, mashed potatoes, butternut squash, green bean casserole, homemade rolls, broccoli, gravy, cranberry sauce, apple pie, and chocolate chip pecan pie with cool whip.

26.  Leftover pie with leftover desserts.

27. Tacos/ nachos again (I just had a plain salad after two days of sweets and food).

28. BBQ pulled chicken over baked potatoes with salad.

29. Chicken/orzo one dish meal.

30. Turkey and rice soup with homemade bread.
