Photos of the Week: October 9th

Another week where I was intentional with taking photos for the prompts using my big camera and not my phone! I forgot how much fun it can be to play around with all the different settings. 

 – wet-- The grass was all wet the morning after the storm



– numbers-- My Favorite numbers



– children’s book-- We start most school days by reading aloud; we're currently reading the children's book Harry Potter.
 


– favorite-- A lunch & reading spot with a view is my favorite!

      I think this is our second read through; we started it in 2019 when we booked our trip to Orlando Studios for spring of 2020.

    It looks like autumn has touched your area. We were in the Smoky's on Friday. I surprised to see the change in the upper elevations. In years past it's happen more toward the end of the month but not so this year. Thanks for sharing your day with us through photos. :) Are you a homeschooler? I taught our kids grades K-12. ;) Have a boogietastic day, my dear.

      We felt like our leaves were turning early this year too! I do homeschool! My middle son decided to go to a local high school that offers culinary arts but my oldest has been homeschooled right through college and so far it seems like my youngest will be doing the same thing.

Favorite TV Shows Growing Up in the 80's and early 90's

Do you remember the TGIF lineups on Friday nights? I can remember planning sleepovers and time with friends around TV Show lineups of our favorite shows... or else trying to set the VCR to record our favorite shows if we weren't going to be home. And through the years I had SO MANY favorites! Things That Make Me Laugh

I loved the challenge of this week's list for our 26 lists link up.  I don't know about you but I really need to laugh more lately.  It's such a great stress reliever. 1.  Books-- I love a good funny book that makes me laugh out loud.  I haven't read one in a while but if you have any recommendations I'm all ears.  The last book I can remember making me laugh was the Un-Honeymooners. 2  The boys being silly. 3.  Watching shows like America's Funniest Videos or Family Feud. 4. My husband.  Most people don't realize it but he's actually pretty funny and often makes me laugh. 5.  Whenever my sisters/ family get together and we get to reminiscing (particularly if my Aunt Elaine is around) we end up laughing so hard at all the old family stories that we are all in tears by the end of the night.  It's fabulous. 6. Favorite Moments and Memories of 2024

 Oh 2024... it was a challenging year for sure but we had so many fabulous moments and memories. I fully admit that many of my favorite memories this year have no pictures-- like Easter dinner with the family, Alec's acceptance day at JWU, etc. But I am more interested in being present these day then I am in getting the exact perfect photo. In January  we started the year with a big family breakfast out to lunch before my sister and nephews headed home. It's an awful picture but we were all laughing because my mom tried 4 times to get us all in there! Then a week or so later my husband and I did get to go on our cruise (we weren't sure right up until the last minute since my mother in law was in the hospital just before we left).  Roatan Grand Cayman We celebrated Alec's 18th birthday nearly a full month late in  February but he didn't mind. Share 4 Somethings in December

Tomorrow is the last Saturday of the month and time for the Share 4 Somethings link up with Jennifer. We're flying home (if all goes well with our connections we should be home tomorrow morning-- though I am REALLY worried about the "adjustment" the airline company made so we now have a much shorter connection time than we planned!) so this wrap up is pretty much all about our trip to Hawaii!  Once again we'll be sharing some things we've  loved and/or disliked, accomplished, some things we've improved upon and/or that need improvement, and noticed.
