Ageless Style & Cozy Cardigans

 I was asked to join up with a group of ladies for the Ageless Style monthly style challenge. I was a bit apprehensive at first because I am not a style blogger but I figured why not? It's always good to say yes to things that push us out of our comfort zone a bit. 

This month's theme "Cozy Cardigans" was chosen by Amy of Amy's Creative Pursuits.  I was thrilled because I just love cardigans and it's one of those fall staples that get added to my wardrobe quite early on in the season since it's easy enough to take off when the weather fluctuates. 

I asked my boys to snap a few photos of me in one of my favorite cardigans while we were out hiking and I think they did a great job!

I tend to buy longer cardigans and love the fall colors of this one.  I almost always pair my cardigans with a scoop neck tank or tee, some jeans, cute boots and a long necklace.

    Well done! Love the pictures and the colors in this cardigan are beautiful. I used to have a similar one in different colors but just didn't like it on me. I have learned that I only wear the waterfall style ones so I don't buy any caridgans now unless thrifted or given to me and only in that style. More of a sweater gal here.

    Love that we styled a similar if not exact same cardigan. It is the perfect fall cardi. And it looks great with the scoop neck tee and those boots. Gosh your photo shoot backdrop is equally lovely. Looks like fall is slowly coming to your woods. Here, too. We are still experiencing highs near 90*!!

      Fall is definitely here! Many trees are bare already and our temps are mostly in the 60's now.

      Yep, I tend to wear my cardigans through spring too. Heck, I've even pulled them out a time or two in summer depending on the year as some years our temps just don't warm up very much.

Dollar Store Candy Cane Wreath

Things That Make Me Laugh

I loved the challenge of this week's list for our 26 lists link up.  I don't know about you but I really need to laugh more lately.  It's such a great stress reliever. 1.  Books-- I love a good funny book that makes me laugh out loud.  I haven't read one in a while but if you have any recommendations I'm all ears.  The last book I can remember making me laugh was the Un-Honeymooners. 2  The boys being silly. 3.  Watching shows like America's Funniest Videos or Family Feud. 4. My husband.  Most people don't realize it but he's actually pretty funny and often makes me laugh. 5.  Whenever my sisters/ family get together and we get to reminiscing (particularly if my Aunt Elaine is around) we end up laughing so hard at all the old family stories that we are all in tears by the end of the night.  It's fabulous. 6.  Since the 10th falls on a Sunday this month (and I don't blog on the weekends) I thought I'd share my 10 on the 10th a bit early. I love that it also coincides with Friday Favorites since Marsha's 10 on the 10th is often one of my favorite prompts to answer.  Rather than asking us specific questions this month, Marsha has asked us to share 10 things we like to do or eat in November. I thought I'd actually share 10 of each! It's the second Monday of the month which means it's time for the Share Our lives link up. This month for the Share Our Lives link up we're sharing where we like to shop. I struggled a bit with this prompt since it's so open ended. I thought I'd list my "top 3" stores in various categories. inside our local Market Basket Groceries: Market Basket Price Chopper Stop and Shop For Gifts: Amazon (free shipping to family that lives far away is fabulous!)
