Photos of the week: June 19
I am really enjoying the challenge of some of these prompts each week. Often I try to plan ahead on what could work for each prompt but rarely is my plan what I actually take a photo of!
– advertising-- I feel like I am a walking advertisement for Color Street nail wraps; I just love them!
– delicious-- I thought this asparagus/ strawberry salad was delicious.
Oh it's so hard to capture a photo of a hummingbird! Great job. I love the petunia photo too. I think I have that exact same petunia and I just love it. The color is so vibrant in the garden.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I had to sit quite patiently for him to show up (repeatedly!) before I got a good photo.
DeleteGreat photos! Love the hummingbird! I haven't seen one back yet this year over here :-(
ReplyDeleteAnd the salad does look delicious! Beautiful clouds over the lake!
I just started seeing them around here this past week and I'm trying to keep our feeder filled with fresh food for them. I just love hummingbirds.
DeleteSuch pretty nature shots! Love the manicure. I so need one.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I do my own nails quite frequently but was just thinking today that I should treat myself to a "real" manicure one day this summer.
DeleteGosh you live in a beautiful spot! I love all your lake photos. Your asparagus and strawberry salad looks tempting and healthy too. I would love to see a hummingbird; I think they are north american natives? Have a great week with the next prompts. CarolG
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am trying to eat healthier with more veggies and fruits but I do get sick of the same thing over and over again so I like to try new salad ingredients/combos.
DeleteJoanne,

DeleteI love Colorstreet too. Which reminds me - I need to get my 4th of july nails out to put on
ReplyDeleteI just ordered a set yesterday and now I'm hoping they'll be in on time for our family's party.
DeleteThat hummingbird photo is so neat! I love that you can see its wings mid-flap!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteWow! I'm super impressed by your hummingbird photo because I know how hard it is to get a good photo of them after being at my parents' last summer. And that salad looks DELICIOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I had to sit very still like a statue with my camera at the ready and I used a rapid fire setting to take something like 60 photos in a second in order to get a few good ones.
DeleteI love Color Street too! That salad looks amazing. Your flower pics is gorgeous! Is that a Hybiscus?
ReplyDeleteNo, it's some sort of purple petunia I think.
DeleteYour nails are so pretty. I am glad you've found a brand you love.
ReplyDeleteHummingbirds are amazing birds. Beautiful. x

DeleteI never get tired of watching the hummingbirds; they are fascinating.
Loved the richness of the petunia...your photos are such a great peak into life where you are. Loved them.
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up for #LifeThisWeek. Next week, we reach the midway point of the link up with Optional Prompt: 26/51 Optimism. Mr W is back with this one! It's always great to see your post and comments, I appreciate that very much. Denyse.
I can't believe we're already mid-way through the year!
DeleteWhat a cooperative hummingbird!! Great capture. The asparagus and strawberry salad look so good and makes for a very pretty picture.
