Photos of the Week: June 12th

I thought for sure I was going to have a hard time with at least one of these prompts this week (Triangle; I'm looking at you); but they turned out to be quite easy!

– page-- This book was quite the page turner this weekend!  (The book was called The Last Thing He Told Me)

– waiting-- Evan and I walked the airline trails while waiting for the orchard to open up one morning this week for strawberry picking.

– triangle-- I was so surprised to see the trail markings in the shape of triangles!

– pink-- My roses after the rain storm

– your choice-- The lake the morning after one of our storms (even with the nasty pollen streaks; it's beautiful)

    1. Thank you! I wish more trails were marked with triangles that pointed out the way to go; I've learned a lot about following trail markers but some trails still need a bit of help.

That looks like a beautiful spot to do a bit of reading. x

  3. Phooey. I thought I was caught up and I am still behind. Hopeless!! Love the pink. And what a great find with the triangles. I know just what to use for that one. Was out walking around our manmade lake today and it has something similar floating on the water. I thought it was algae but maybe it is pollen, too. Yuck!!

    1. We get a bit of algae too now and then but that tends to be much more green where the pollen is a pretty bright yellow color.

  4. What a great spot you have there in your 'page' photo. I wouldn't be able to read at all! I agree about the triangles - to start with I was stumped, then ended up with several, and your tail markers are perfect for that prompt - good spotting! CarolG

Your roses look beautiful, so pretty with the raindrops too.

  8. I love that there are trail markers. The hike that Simon and I went on didn't have any!

    1. I try to always find marked trails to follow (or else use my Alltrails app so I have a trail in hand I can navigate with).

  11. I love that picture of the rain on your roses. And good job on the triangles. I got distracted while reading this post yesterday because I had to go put that book on hold!

  12. Another great week of pics! I have never seen triangle shaped blazes. So cool! It is crazy how pollen looks on water.

    1. This is the only park I have ever seen triangle blazes before but I love how they really point the way.
