DIY Life is Better at the Lake Vinyl Sign

This month the crafting group I joined up with decided to make summer craft projects and while I struggled for a bit on what to make, I started where I always start; I went through my bins of crafting supplies to see what might inspire me.

I decided to make a cute sign for our back patio.  Using a blank sign I had picked up along the way and my Cricut I made this cute Life is Better at the Lake sign.

First I found an image on the Cricut site to use and then sized it to fit my blank sign.  I cut my image out of two coordinating shades of blue sticky backed vinyl.

I weeded the images using my weeding tool.

Then used transfer tape to transfer the images one at a time to my sign.

This cute and simple craft came together in no time!

For now I hung it by our front door but I plan to have my husband put a screw into our siding down on the patio and hang it near where we keep all our life jackets.

I hope you'll stop by and see what my fellow co-hosts have made:

  6. Your lake sign turned out great! You make using a cricut look so easy. No cricut here, so I'd still be slowly hand painting that design Lol.
