Monthly Menu #4
We had another delicious month of meals. I did better sticking to my menu these past few weeks and have been doing better remember to check my pantry, fridge, & freezer for all the ingredients instead of assuming I already have them on hand.
1. BBQ chicken, Rice a Roni, and steamed broccoli.
2. We got take out pizza and French fries for the boys while I just ate a salad (Ben was working until quite late at night).
3. Grilled steaks with shrimp, acorn squash, roasted potatoes and salad.
4. Ham dinner with potatoes, butternut squash, and brownie sundaes.
5. Spaghetti and meatballs with salad.
6. Chicken/ Orzo pasta dish with salad.
7. Shredded BBQ pork with rice pilaf and green beans.
8. Chicken, broccoli, and rice casserole.
9. Burgers, hot dogs, salad, and fries.
10. Date night out! Ben and I headed to the Longhorn and the boys got take out pizza.
11. I made New England style haddock (recipe coming soon), Cole slaw, baked potatoes, and salad.
12. I put a turkey breast in the crock pot, made some squash casserole, and heated up some broccoli.
13. Tacos and taco salad.
14. Grilled chicken, BBQ macaroni salad, and salad.
15. BLT sandwiches with chips and salad.
16. Salmon (I use this recipe from Penny), chicken tenderloins for the boys, with corn on the cob, roasted vegetables, and salad.
17. Birthday dinner for my father in law included ribeye steaks & chicken breasts on the grill, with baked potatoes, broccoli, and oatmeal cookies for dessert (I used my oatmeal scotchies recipe and tweaked it-- I'll post a new recipe for the sandwich cookies soon).
18. Weight Watchers lasagna and salad.
19. Teriyaki chicken, peas, and couscous.
20. Alec's first track meet fell on a night when my husband had a hair appointment with Evan so he offered to pick up D'Angelo's sandwiches on his way home.
21. Teriyaki chicken & rice casserole.
22. Sautéed shrimp & assorted vegetables over rice/ riced cauliflower.
23. Pot roast, egg noodles, and green beans.
24. Ian's birthday party dinner consisted of burgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken, fries (of all sorts), salad and a really delicious no-bake peanut butter pie.
25. Chicken/ Orzo soup with homemade bread-- using this chicken soup recipe with 1 cup orzo in place of egg noodles.
26. Waffles (using our favorite recipe), bacon, and fresh fruit.
27. Take out from the Pub99 after track meet.
28. Vegetable & fettuccini alfredo
29. Chicken Caesar salad wraps with chips: a new recipe I found on Pinterest to try
30. Ham Divan; a new recipe I found on Pinterest to try.

It sounds like the meal planning is going really well.
ReplyDeleteAll of your food looks and sounds delicious x
Thank you!
DeleteWow- awesome awesome job and some of these recipes sound amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThese all look delicious!! I need to bake another bread ASAP, kind of took a break from it because I'd eat too much of it, but there isn't much better than homemade bread!
ReplyDeleteWe had backed off from baking homemade bread for a bit too but it really is the best. Especially on a cold, rainy day!
DeleteI think I need to eat breakfast -- your foods are looking so good! I'm impressed you don't do a lot of repeats -- for instance, we have tacos almost every week.
ReplyDeleteOne of the reasons I swapped to monthly planning was the hopes of adding more variety into our diets/ dinner menu.
DeleteWhat a tasty month!
ReplyDeleteIt was!
DeleteEverything looks so tasty, Joanne! I want to try everything!!

DeleteJoanne, my mouth is watering all over my keyboard! Everything looks amazing. I really do like fish and need to make it more often. Both haddock and salmon and really any kind of fish are faves here. Thanks for sharing and linking with me.

I try to make fish once a week but there are only certain types that my family will eat otherwise I'd be making scallops, tuna steaks, swordfish... I love seafood.
DeleteThat taco salad looks so yummy! I'm so hungry. :-D
ReplyDeleteWe just had taco salad again this week; it's always a family favorite!
