Encouraging Hearts and Home: Month 1 done!

And just like that the first month of the new year is over.  It sure went by fast for us even though nothing much seems to have changed.  Our school year is half- over too!

Our days have fallen into a routine and the boys are all doing so well with school (you can read our mid year updates on 7th grade & 11th grade ). Alec finished his second semester with high honors (with 100 averages in more than 1/2 his classes!).  He's finished up with Freshman Algebra and moved onto Sophomore Geometry so he's adapting very well to public/ hybrid schooling.

And Now, It's Time for This Week's Encouraging Hearts & Home Blog Hop!

Join your Encouraging Hearts & Home Co-Hosts each week for encouragement and support for your heart & your home. We hope to provide a space that builds each other up and lends a helping hand along the way. With all the negativity in the world, let's shine a positive light!

  1. Oh wow, Joanne, thanks so much for featuring my Thrifty Six in Leather post! That was a pleasant surprise this morning! I cannot believe the month of January is nearly gone either. Time certainly can still fly by even as it feels like it is standing still!

    1. That's how I think of it too! Evan and I were just talking about how many more weeks/months 'til spring when we saw sandals, flip flops, and bathing suits out at Kohl's today.

    1. Our school is definitely trying too.. in the meantime we'll keep on keeping on and enjoy a slightly work load than Alec would normally be getting with all honors courses.

  5. Amazing school grades! My son got his report this morning. He also seems to be managing okay with Zoom school. Thank goodness! Love those Valentines Bears :)

    1. It seemed pretty touch and go at the beginning but once we got the hang of all the different computer programs each teacher used it was a bit easier to help him manage the work load. His teachers are real great about touching base with the kids daily too and reminding them of any outstanding work and seeing if anyone is struggling at all.

    1. Ha! Me too!! I want sunshine and flip flops... I'm even OK if it's jeans with my flip flops and not necessarily shorts but sun and warmth are my favorites!
