How we Pumpkin: A List of Recipes I Want to Try This Fall
This month's Let Look At.... is all about how we "pumpkin".
I feel like I've already shared a lot about how we celebrate and handle fall. So much so that I was pretty stumped on what to include in this post. Just look at all we've shared already!
In this post I showed you all our fall decorations: Fall Home Tour
I shared some of our favorite and simple fall pleasures as well as our fall bucket list for 2020.
I've shared some of my favorite fall fashions too.
I honestly thought about just not participating this month since I wasn't sure what else to write about!
Then I saw that Lysha from A Camera and A Cookbook made up a fall bucket list of recipes and I just knew I wanted to share something similar with you all! While I do enjoy cooking and baking there is something about these crisp fall days that just makes me LOVE being in the kitchen. My list of recipes to try is always growing and I often can't even remember all the ones I want to try.
Before I get to this year's list I wanted to remind you of a Few of our Favorite Fall Recipes-- so just know that our annual dishes like apple pie, apple crisp, Turkey Day Casserole (made from our Thanksgiving leftovers), and other favorites are already on my radar to get done.
This year's list is all about NEW recipes I want to try this fall. Things like...
- Bacon & Pumpkin pasta from Mix and Match Mama
- Reece's Peanut Butter Popcorn
- Swedish meatballs
- Beef Stroganoff
- Pumpkin twist pastry
- Maple Pecan roasted acorn squash from The House on Silverado
- Apple Fritter Bread
- Pumpkin pancakes with maple glaze
- Creamy sausage pasta with butternut squash
- Baked potato soup
- Pumpkin cake or cupcakes with salted caramel cream cheese frosting
- Lasagna stuffed butternut squash
Do you have any favorite fall recipes or recipes you're hoping to try this fall for the first time?
My mouth is watering- so many of these recipes sound delish!
ReplyDeleteWe just tried the Maple Pecan squash this week and it was delicious!
DeleteYummy! I still want to bring back my chili recipe that I make in the fall but haven't yet!
ReplyDeleteWe've had three different types of chili already this year! It's such a perfect crock pot meal when we have after school activities.
DeleteI love all of those recipes!! A good soup is the BEST! Please let me know how these turn out!
ReplyDeleteYes, I just love a good soup!
DeleteWhat a great post! I went with the decor angle for how we pumpkin, and I've probably shared most of the items in other posts. I didn't even think to go the recipe route!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI love this twist on a fall bucket list! I don't have much of a sweet tooth but beef stroganoff and Swedish meatballs sound delish! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I know I'll enjoy them it's just a toss up as to whether or not the kids will eat them.
DeleteI need to think of some fallish recipes for the weeks ahead: so far I have relied on old favorites but some variety would be nice!

That's how I was feeling. We have lots of old favorites but I do love to toss in some new things very now and then.
DeleteHaving a recipe seasonal bucket list is such a fun idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteYummy!! Hope you will share the recipes when you make these dishes. I tried a pulled pork chili last night. Not too sure about it. Like my maple bourbon chili better. Wanting to sneak some butternut squash recipes past PC. Shh, don't tell.
ReplyDeleteLOL. Luckily my husband seems to like squash as much as I do; it's just our kids that won't eat any sort of squash.
DeleteI love Beef Stroganoff! It is sooo good. I love all things pumpkin and now want pumpkin pie after that picture.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge pumpkin fan; I do like it but I don't eat pumpkin pie.
DeleteI'm not a big pumpkin person, but you have so many great non-pumpkin recipes too! That maple roasted squash sounds delicious, as does the creamy sausage pasta with butternut squash. Yum!
ReplyDeleteThe maple roasted squash was tried this week and it was fabulous!!
DeleteI am saving your fall list of books and movies!! Thanks for sharing. And some of these recipes... YUM!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteI never ever made something with pumpkin. I really should give it a try.
ReplyDeleteI don't make a whole lot with pumpkin but we do cook/bake with it occasionally.
DeleteAll those recipes look so yummy! I have two pie pumpkins to make some puree with. The girls found a pumpkin bread recipe in a magazine that we will be making. I will also probably make some pies.
ReplyDeleteI do like pumpkin bread! I have never tried making my own pumpkin puree.
DeleteI like your list of recipes that you want to try, Joanne. I see some that I’d like to try, too. I hope you have a good rest of the week!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
