Encouraging Hearts and Home: Hello September!
Alec had his first day of school yesterday; only the Freshman attended and a good portion of the day was spent going over everything for the year and getting set up on all their online learning programs like Aleks math. Today is his first official day and boy was he ever thrilled to find his first shop is culinary! They'll spend the next 11 days getting to try out just one day in each of the 11 shop programs that are offered before picking their favorite 3 to spend more time in when it's their next turn in the building. With Alec officially starting school the other two boys and I will be sitting down for a few subjects of schooling again today.
With all this back to school hoopla that is what my favorite features are all about-- staying organized with the new back to school season upon us.

DeleteI think it is so cool that he is taking culinary. That is not offered around here. What are some of the things that he likes to cook?
ReplyDeleteHe really loves to bake and has tried just about everything from cakes and cupcakes to pastries and breads. He's really excited about learning to cook even more foods. It's a fairly new program for this high school and it's apparently doing really well. In normal years they even run a small cafe that they open up to the public.
DeleteOh my goodness! Those all sound so amazing.
