My Favorite Apps and Websites
This week's 26 list was a great prompt and one I haven't though to do an updated post on in quite some time. I know I have written about our favorite learning apps (here) and electronic games (here) but I have never gone over MY favorite apps and websites! Just know that this list will be short.
The most used apps on my phone are:
Amazon
Email
Words With Friends
Pandora (though I only use that in the car)
Weight Watchers
Pinterest
AllTrails (great for finding new hiking places!)
Facebook Messenger (I don't have Facebook but messenger is how our hiking group often communicates particularly on hiking days)
Homescapes- a match three game where you fix up a house as you move through levels
Wildscapes- another match three game but this time it's a zoo you're working to build
Tetris- anyone remember this from the OLD Nintendo systems? I am so good at this game!
Flow Free- another visual/logic game where you have to connect dots of color without crossing any lines.
On my Kindle: I should mention I really only use the Kindle for reading but do have some games/ apps on there from when my kids used to play with mine and got me into a few fun games too. I haven't played any of these in years.
Stack the States (my boys and I LOVE this app!)
2048 a fun math/logic game
Angry Birds
On my computer: Other than email and blogger I'm not sure I have that many used websites or apps...
1. I do use Cricut Design Space & Inkspace to make things with my Cricut Maker
2. I occasionally check in on Facebook-- usually on Monday to see if Alec has karate in the park and on Wednesday to see what the most clicked link was for Thrusday's link up.
3. I recently signed up for Bloglovin' but haven't gotten in the habit of checking in there yet.
4. I do head to Pinterest quite often for recipes & crafting ideas
5. Amazon (of course!)
6. Pixlr.com to make my blog graphics
7. Photocollage.com to make photo collages for my blog graphics.
I do have so many favorite blogs I read just about daily but I'll have to list those in a separate post one day.

Right there with you with Pandora and Pinterest! Thanks for sharing- always love getting new app suggestions!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteI didn’t know about the Trails app. That is a good one.
ReplyDeleteThat trails app is awesome! They even show you as a dot on the map and you can follow the trails as you walk them. SO great with new trails that aren't well marked.
DeleteBloglovin is my favorite laptop app and is the only way I read your blog! Well, and all my other blogs too. I had never heard of the Trails app but I am going to try it because I want to find more walking trails for fall near me. I love Pinterest too and I used to listen to Pandora all of the time but now I am a huge Spotify lover because of their curated playlists.
ReplyDeleteI used to use Bloglovin often and then just sort of got out of the habit.
DeleteOh yes, I remember Tetris, LOL! I didn't play it much, but I remember it. The Homescapes app looks cool!
ReplyDeleteI used to play Tetris often on the Nintendo; I liked it better on the big screen and the highest score & level of everyone I knew.
DeleteThe games bring back memories. I used to play 2048 and Flow Free!
ReplyDeleteI hardly play those at all anymore but I have such fond memories of playing while my kids were in karate.
DeletePinterest and Amazon - not sure what I'd do without the two! xo, Biana BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteI completely agree! I'd be lost without them.
DeleteI LOVE Pinterest and Amazon too. I use pandora all the time, so that is definitely another favorite.
ReplyDeleteWe all listen to Pandora in the car.
DeleteI love 2048, i used to play that all the time! I’ll have to check out all trails!
ReplyDeleteI did too! In fact while putting this together I thought I should start playing it again.
DeleteYou and I have very similar apps! I love 2048 and my entire family was obsessed with it at one point. My husband has the highest score out of all of us though!
ReplyDeleteMy boys used to play 2048 all the time!! I think I ended up with the highest score on that game here.
DeleteWe loved 2048 and Stack the States. The kids (especially Sam) played those A LOT on our iPad. Right now I am really loving Instagram and my game is Gardenscapes. Dave and Rachel love that one too. I also have Homescapes for when I'm out of lives on Gardenscapes but I don't love it as much!
ReplyDeleteI have not yet gotten into instagram; everyone tells me I should since I like to take photos but I just don't know that I want one more social media thing to keep up with. I played gardenscapes for quite a while but didn't like it as much as homescapes and only played when I was out of lives on the home one! LOL.
DeleteI see all those games as advertisements on the games my kids play. I keep thinking of downloading the homescapes game.
ReplyDeleteIt's a fun mindless game perfect for killing time.
