My Favorite Pictures

Our topic for the 26 lists this week to share our favorite pictures and at first I was rather overwhelmed.  I have so many favorite pictures and wasn't quite sure where to start... with my childhood?  When I "met" my husband? Our Wedding? The birth of our first child?

I knew if I went back that far I'd have an unbelievably long post FILLED with pictures.  I finally settled on my favorite photos from the past year (from June 2019 until now).  Most were chosen for the memories behind them and not the technical aspects of the photo.

Alec at Harkness park last summer.

Our family day trip walking the Freedom Trail in Boston.

One of the last photos I have of our cat looking healthy before we had to put him down.

Ian won't usually smile or be in front of the camera but I just love this shot of him from last summer.

When we took the younger boys to Cirque Du Soleil.

The younger boys at their friend's party making new friends.

Trying on clothes during my birthday shopping/lunch with my mom; I was so thrilled they were smaller sizes! (and now they're too big!!)

Catching Evan reading when he's not being asked to read.

I love watching Alec bake just about anything!

Evan's all smiles waiting for our friends to show up and go swimming with him last summer.

My husband and I weekend in Cape Cod and took a day trip to Nantucket-- my new favorite island!

Alec got his braces off!

Watching the boys play with friends.

Our HUGE family kayak ride.

Lunching out with my boys.

My sister came to visit last fall and Alec taught his cousin to play chess-- they were obsessed and played so often that whole visit.

Sunrises over the lake.

Our hiking group!--- well this is just a small portion of our group and we miss them like crazy (though we have talked about starting up again now that groups are allowed to gather outside).

Our family vacation to Wyoming, South Dakota, and Nebraska was so much fun.

Fall colors.

All the yummy desserts and foods Alec makes for us.

Watching Alec take on larger roles at karate as he moves through the ranks.

Hiking with friends in the fall.

A rare photo of my husband and I.

Still not to big to decorate a gingerbread house at Chrismtas!  I love it.

Touring the Newport mansions at Christmas with some friends of ours.

While I am not a huge fan of winter the trees always look beautiful and sparkle so pretty-like when coated in ice.

Two photos of us in one year!  This was taken at Christmastime.

My birthday lunch with Alec.

Watching Evan and his friend catch up on one of our winter hikes.  These two really miss one another.

Alec is just one belt level away from black belt.

He's looking so grown up and growing like crazy!

Another rare photo of Ian (that I still don't think he knows I took).

My guys out hiking.

Even with his 16th birthday in quaarentine and not knowing when he'll be able to finally drive this kid was all smiles.

Misty mornings on the lake can be breathtaking.

We finally got to eat outside (in public!) last weekend.  It was nice and sunny too and just perfect for ice cream.

    1. Thank you; he was a good 18 years old or so and just stopped eating, grooming himself, or really even walking around. It was definitely time.
