The Feels In May
For today's post I'm linking up with X-tremely V for The Feels and though the questions are the same each month the answers are always different since they're based only on our current month.
Favorite Meal-- I think I'd have to say this Ham and Alfredo Lasagna. It was pretty much an experiment and we loved how it turned out.
Favorite Movie/ TV Show/ Book--
Movie: Jumanji: The Next Level
Tv Show: It's a tie between: Council of Dads (on Hulu). A great new tear jerking family drama. Have you seen it? & Sweet Magnolias (on Netflix) based off the books by Sherryl Woods.
Book: I read the whole Beach Plum Cove series by Pamelala Kelley and I just LOVED it!
Favorite Activity: Once again I'd have to go with hiking since that's pretty much the only activity we can do.
Favorite Moment: Finishing up Alec's room!
Goal for June: Enjoy as much time outside on the patio and deck as possible.
Anything else that made May feel good: Celebrating 19 glorious years with my husband... even if we couldn't do much to celebrate together.
Linking Up With: Spread the Kindness,
A friend recommended Sweet Magnolias!
ReplyDeleteIt's really cute and such a fun friendship based series.
DeleteI was considering watching Sweet Magnolias - didn't know it was based off a book series!
ReplyDeleteYep, it's an older series but a good one.
DeleteHappy 19th anniversary!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful hiking pictures!
Thank you!
DeleteHappy 19th Anniversary! Hope you could celebrate. One of my favorite activities is hiking too. I go every chance I get. Hubby and I just went for a trail run this morning. The weather was beautiful! Happy Memorial Day!
ReplyDeleteThank you! The whole family ended up taking a nice long 6 mile hike yesterday; it was wonderful.
DeleteI love your nature shots! It would be so nice to go out and walk a trail in this lovely weather. I hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteHiking is fun except when you go on a longer hike than you planned and don't have your carrier: my arms hurt the next day.

Yeah, or when you get lost...and don't realize it until you've been walking that trail for more than 30 minutes. We've done that a few times!
DeleteI need to check out those shows. I saw Steel Magnolia's on Netflix but i wasn't sure if I would like it. Thanks for the recommendation. Love seeing the progress of your son's room!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteHappy Anniversary, Joanne! Congratulations to you and your husband on 19 years together, that is wonderful! So great to finish off the decorating in Alec's room. It looks fab! We've been doing a lot of hiking too. Thank you so much for sharing and for being a part of the Hearth and Soul Community! Take care and have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you!

It was so delicious! I love his room; he must too as we rarely see him anymore.
DeleteJoanne, I so enjoyed this post! It's the little things, the day to day experiences, that enhance our lives and unite us all. It was lovely to get a glimpse into your life, and I love how you are Romancing The Ordinary, as author Sarah Ban Breathnach would write. I've featured your post at Hearth and Soul this week, and I'm so grateful to you for being a part of the Hearth and Soul Community! Take care.
ReplyDeleteIt really is the little things! Thanks so much for featuring my post.
DeleteI've been meaning to watch Council of Dads. I started watching Sweet Magnolias and so far I'm not loving it. It's a show I wanted to love because I usually love shows like that.
ReplyDeleteAs always, I definitely think the books were better but I will watch Sweet Magnolias when I have nothing else to watch.
