Let's Look at... What's Inside My Purse

Today I am linking up with Erica and Shay and we're checking out what's inside everyone's purse.  I never used to carry much in my purse; just my keys, wallet, and cell phone, but over the years that seems to have changed.

I still prefer a bag that's on the smaller size but I definitely pack more into it.

The outer pockets hold gum (and yes I have three different kinds; I like cinnamon, my sons and husband prefer mint and bubble gum).

I also keep a small pack of tissue handy; especially during cold weather months.

Inside I like to keep my bag organized and use 2 smaller bags to keep everything contained.

This bag holds Motrin/Tylenol (yep I have, use, and need both!), Chapstick, lotion, and hand sanitizer. The other black bag holds Midol, pads, and tampons.

If I'm doing good that morning my purse also has my cell phone inside... though I am known for forgetting to actually carry it with me.

If I'm heading out for karate with Alec or a doctor's appointment I'll also tuck a book inside.

What do you carry in your purse?

  1. Looks a lot like the inside of my purse. I love that Dionis Lotion.

  2. I did a post like this many years ago and it was fun to look back and see what was in my purse back then. Especially when the kids were little!
Your purse is so neat and organized. Come redo mine, please. :)

    1. Oh I bet, I know when my kids were little I always had snacks, a toy car, and a very small travel sized bottle of play-doh!

    1. Thanks! It's fully reversible too. This was my favorite style Vera Bradley.. until they discontinued them.

  6. I love the idea of smaller bags inside your purse to hold items like lotion, etc. Why don't I do this? I think I'm inspired and will try it myself.

    1. It really does help keep things so much more organized and makes it much easier to find my keys; which inevitably get lost in the bottom of every bag.

  7. On a recent trip to Colorado, my good husband bought me a teeny tiny purse I could wear across my body, and I really doubted if I could fit what I needed into it, but I didn't even miss my big purse!

    1. I use a very small cross body purse on most of our vacations; especially if we're visiting parks like Disney or Universal and I never miss my big purse. The only reason I carry one most of the rest of the year is so I can tuck my book or my small store purchases inside.

  8. I go back and forth between a big purse and a smaller one. I'd like to say I don't miss the big one but I always do. I do like a small cross body bag when I'm going to be walking a lot.

    1. I definitely use a small one when on vacation, if I'm heading out for a day of shopping, or anytime where I'll be doing a lot of walking but this is more the size of my everyday purse. I always end up swapping back to something mid-sized like this since I can fit more in it than a small purse.
