February De-Stash Challenge: Scrapbooking Pages
Every month a group of bloggers are challenged by C'mon Get Crafty to create a new craft or project from their own stash of goodies! Everyone is allowed a $10 allowance for necessities to complete their project (i.e. paint brushes, glue, etc), but the bulk of it must be created from their own stash of goodies.
Let's meet this month's bloggers!!
I am joining up with the Monthly Crafty De-stash Challenge today and I could not be more excited. I'm sure it's not all that surprising to my regular readers that I decided to whip up some scrapbooking pages for this month's challenge.
The only thing I needed to purchase was some more double sided tape for my tape runner. I had all the other supplies (including my photos) piling up on my desk but I knew I wanted to finish up all the pages I possibly could before heading out on our Disney vacation. This challenge gave me the push I needed and I finally put all the photos in albums and pulled together ALL the rest of the pages I had planned.
Great way to keep your photos as memories. Love the words and the layouts.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteWhat a fun way to create lasting memories of fabulous vacations!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteYou made such cute pages - great way to remember the good times. #MMBC
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteYour cute scrapbook pages makes me want to create my own! Maybe this will be the year I actually print out photos and get it done!
ReplyDeleteI took a few year off from scrapbooking and found that once I got back into it my style had changed quite a bit. I also find I don't scrap nearly as many moments from our lives as I used to either; just the highlights!
DeleteLooks like your family has had some great adventures lately! And what a great way to preserve and remember them! My kids still look through our scrap books when they come home for a visit.
ReplyDeleteWe had a fabulous time touring 5 different states this past fall. I think family vacations and trips are some of my favorite things to scrap.
DeleteYour scrapbook pages are so well done and will make wonderful memories of your special moments. I have many craft supplies I don't use as often as I once did and I really need to decide what to do with them. I am hoping my grandchildren will get some use out of them for projects and craft fun.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I have been purging many of my unused crafting supplies but I still have a lot and thought this group was just I needed to get me motivated to use some of it up.
DeleteI haven't scrap booked in a long time. I love what you did with your book.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am loving all these new pages.
DeleteYou have made some beautiful pages. My scrap book supplies are on a bottom shelf in my craft room that I will get to one day soon - maybe.
ReplyDeleteI had my scrapbooking on the back burner for a few years and then was gifted some new supplies and it's like I've fallen in love with it all again.
DeleteWell done, my friend. I am sitting in my loft/craft room right now. Have one page finished on my easel and the other only lacking a title. Maybe I will finally get it completed today. I am also wanted to purge and declutter this space. Can't decide whether to do it on my own or with Taylor as part of her 52 weeks of organization. Would love to see pics of your crafting space. Maybe I will do a craft space post and invite bloggers to join in!!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you use to make your lettering? I have a very old Cricut. Thinking I need to use it more.
I have a Cricut Maker that I do use a lot for scrapbooking and I've purchased some titles/ scrapbooking kits along the way too. You can check out my crafting space and how I keep it all organized here: https://www.myslicesoflife.com/2019/06/scrapbooking-room-tour.html
DeleteThis is great. My Daughter makes scrapbooks with photo but these are so different. I must show here them. Very creative :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing at Creative Mondays.
Thank you!
DeleteThanks so much for stopping by and sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea, its a perfect destash project! I used to scrapbook all the time and I've been so lax about it! You've inspired me to dig out the goodies!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad; once I started looking through what I had on hand I was excited to start scrapping again.
DeleteThis is so inspiring! I'm years behind in scrapbooking!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was a couple of years behind but found a new passion for it and managed to catch up quite quickly. I think partly it helped that there wasn't nearly as many "events" to scrapbook as the kids got older and older.
