Weigh In Wednesday: Weeks 6 & 7

The last time I posted two weeks ago I was proud of how well I had been eating and staying in my blue dot range most every day but I was frustrated that the weight seemed to be coming off so slowly.

I had one week where I used every single point; including all my weeklies and I expected to see either my weight stay exactly the same or even go up but instead I began loosing again!  It was so gratifying to watch those numbers go down very day (Yes, I had a week where I began weighing myself every day again!).

Just like that I went to only loosing a few pounds to having lost 10.6 lbs in 6 weeks and as of this morning I was down 11.4lbs.  According to WW I'm averaging a loss of 1.6 lbs a week.  Not too shabby.

My jeans are starting to feel a bit baggy too and I realized I could pull them off without unzipping/ buttoning them!

It feels wonderful and a bit freeing to know that I can indulge myself now and then without totally derailing my progress!

I've been eating some yummy foods too these past weeks!

Tomato basil gardenburger with fat free cheese on light bread & strawberry poppy seed sald

Fruit salad with a delicious 1 point quiche I made!
Turkey burger (homemade) on a bun with butternut squash fries-- only 5 points for the whole meal ( I really need to find a store that sells "light" buns)

Peanut butter and jelly on light bread with veggie sticks and grapes

hardboiled eggs with fruit salad, bagel thin, and a small smear of light cream cheese
A salad with baby greens, sliced chicken tenderloins sprinkled with Italian seasoning, 2 Tablespoons almonds, 1 serving fat free croutons and some Skinny Girl Poppy Seed dressing.

We've been getting lots of hiking in; even checking out a few new places! The weather has warmed up and we actually saw the sun for more than 1 day in a row!

Mother's day came and I let myself indulge; homemade waffles with bacon for breakfast and a decadent brownie for dessert; the rest of the day I tried to eat all zero or super low point foods.  I know now that I can indulge now and then and it's OK; that's what those extra points are for.

Every time I splurge though I am afraid I will have a hard time getting back into my workout and weight loss routine but so far I'm doing really well with that!

I woke early on Monday morning and squeezed in a stability ball workout and had plans to hike with the boys if we could manage not to get wet... which we just barely made.

My only goal for the next few weeks is to keep tracking and eating like I am while trying to get back to exercising every day.  With the wet and cold weather we've been having we're only getting a few hikes in a week and I am starting to sleep in and skip most of my other workouts.

I've only had one day in the past two weeks that I didn't make it a Blue Dot Day (and that was Mother's day!).  I did stay within my weekly points though so I am still quite proud of myself.

    1. That is the exact reason why I enjoy hiking; it really doesn't feel much like exercise.

  3. Good job! I found that when I didn't eat enough, I also didn't lose, so it's a fine balance!

  4. You are doing so great! And your meals all look so good! Makes my lunches look so boring since I eat the same thing over and over. Lol.

  5. Congrats on your progress. That's great. I did WW for a little while after having the kids and I found the same thing. Once in a while I'd have a few days where I was definitely pushing those points to the max, but then I'd loose weight at a faster rate again after. Have a great week

    1. Glad to know it's not just me! I thought it was so weird that I actually lost weight faster after feeling like I had over- indulged.

  8. Good luck to you and keep up your progress. I believe slow and steady wins the race and that is how you will also keep it off. I am not even trying anymore and I'm still losing slowly but surely. I cut out the sugar but I do cheat on occasion.
