Friday Favorites-- Hello March!
We had a pretty quiet week at home. Any plans we had kept getting canceled at the week went on. We manage to finish up our schoolwork most days by noon and we even managed to finish a few books entirely! Evan is completely finished with both his math and spelling book! We'll find some other books to work in for another few months until we officially finish for the year but I feel so good knowing that we are getting so much done this year. I have seen huge strides in all my boys' abilities.
Now onto some of my favorite moments this week:
Watching these two boys having so much fun with their friends at the bowling alley birthday party they were invited to.
I found these two playing Battleship together; I just love watching my boys play together.
Tuesday we finished schoolwork in under 2 hours! Short school days are my favorite!
Alec actually won a sparring match at karate this week. He rarely wins or even scores points so this was huge!
We made it out for a hike on Wednesday, even if it was icy.
Watching Evan devour his new graphic novel. He was so excited to see the book come in that he read more than 130 pages in one day.

I love watching my boys play together too! Your hikes are the best! Happy Friday! xo
ReplyDeleteLately with us all cooped up inside together there's been more bickering and less playing so I have to enjoy it when I see it.
DeleteI'm with you! My boys are mostly grown, but I still love watching them together!
ReplyDelete:) It makes all those years of bickering worth it.
DeleteSo fun that you got to go for a hike! It's still too cold here to do outdoor things. Spring, where are you?!?
ReplyDeleteUm.. it was 18 (with a feels like temp of 9) but I really didn't care. I told them to wear snow boots, ski pants, hats and gloves. We only lasted 30 minutes but it was so nice to get out of the house.
DeleteYou captured some lovely moments this week with the boys! It looks like they kept busy and had fun, too! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteAww...a bowling alley party is so much fun! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThey go every year to the same alley for this same boy's birthday and they have such a great time.
DeleteWe LOVE the Wings of Fire series. MK was so excited when he saw the newest one in the Library the other week that he snatched it up super quick! LOL. Thank you so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up @LiveLifeWell!
Blessings,
Amy
My younger two just love them! They are such a fun series.
DeleteThe beauty of an ordinary week! I remember playing Battleship with my brother when we were young.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it is just so nice to have a slow ordinary week at home.
DeleteSounds like a fun week. Whoo you got some beautiful photos of the snow and icicles :) Thanks for sharing at Welcome To The Weekend Blog Hop. Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteI just love photographing the ice/icicles. It's so neat to see what's reflected or distorted in them.
DeleteOne of my favorite things is seeing my girls play together. It warms my heart. I'm sure your boys are so excited to have finished a couple school books early! Thanks for sharing with us at #LiveLifeWell.
ReplyDeleteThey are excited but have asked me... "what are we going to do next?"
