What's Up Wednesday-- February

It's just about the end of the month and time for another What's Up Wednesday post.  Today I am linking up with Mel and Shafer and all their blogging friends to talk about What's Up.  I can't believe it's the end of yet another month!

Looking back we had a great month.  We toured three museums, worked on two new science experiments, took a painting class together and tried out a few new recipes.  We even made it out hiking a time or two.

Let's dive right in!

What We're Eating This Week:
Sunday: Pot Roast with potatoes and veggies

Monday:  Baked shells and sauce with homemade garlic bread.

Tuesday: Turkey pot pie

Wednesday:  Sheppard's pie

Thursday:  Healthy Chicken and Vegetables with Couscous

Friday:  Crock Pot Lasagna

What I'm Reminiscing About: Warm weather fun!  We've had a few teasers of spring weather this past month and then a few more snow and rain storms.  Those days of warm sunny weather remind me of all the fun we have in spring and summer!

What I'm Loving: My new washing machine!  Our old washer broke even though it wasn't even yet 3 years old.  We began researching like crazy and decided to buy a Spin Queen.  I had never heard of the brand before but it's more of a commercial brand and they really stand behind their products.

What We've Been Up To:  Lots and lots of museum visits!  We've visited 3 different museums this month!

The Worcester Historical Museum:

The Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History:

The Museum of Natural History and Planetarium at Roger Williams Park Zoo:

What I'm Dreading: Those credit card bills this month.. between the new washer and booking our family vacation they're going to be much higher than normal.  I hate writing out big checks like that but we always pay off our bills each month using our credit cards as if they were debit cards.

What I'm Working On:  Lots and lots of scrapbook pages!  I finished up a good 1/2 dozen of them this month and just about finished up with year 2017...

What I'm Excited About: In just two shorts weeks we get to turn the clocks ahead! I am loving how much lighter it is in the evenings and can not wait to see it still light out after dinner.... that means as soon as it warms up we can start going for walks!

What I'm Watching/ Reading:  I read quite a few good books this month but I am currently reading Debbie Macomber's Wanted: Perfect Partner.  My husband picked it out for me for Valentine's day and it's super cute.

We just binge watched the entire 6 seasons of Ray Donovan this month; I was torn between loving him and hating him.  Though I really thought the show was going downhill in the last season.  I've also been finishing up Drop Dead Diva since that's leaving Netflix next week and still trying to pack in all our usual shows like This is Us, A Million Little Things, The Kids are Alright, American Housewife, etc.

What I'm Listening To: The boys and I just began listening to book two in the series we started it's called Al Capone Shines My Shoes

What I'm Wearing:
Still lots of winter gear; turtlenecks, sweaters, heavy coats, jeans/ leggings and boots.

What I'm Doing this Weekend: Hopefully my husband and I will make it our for our monthly date night.  It's been too long since we've had one.

What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month: Corned beef on St. Pat's day!  It's the only day of the year I make corned beef and it's so tasty (we use this recipe)!

What Else is New: We're heading out to check out a local high school for my middle son; he's interested in culinary arts and we have a school that offers that as a field of study so we'll see if he likes what they have to say... It will be so weird if he decides to head off and I'm only homeschooling two kids instead of three but I will support him in whatever he chooses to do.
