Prime Purchases in January
I really had hoped that our Amazon purchases would die down a little now that the holidays had passed but I found myself ordering so much this month! Thankfully we had lots of Amazon gift cards saved up and hardly spent any money.
First we purchased a new Quicken subscription; our old one was a good 10 years old and ran off a disk and our new computer has no disk drive.
I bought this stainless steel bowl in both the 4 & 5 quart sizes as I was still working on replacing the glass mixing bowls I broke last month.
I took Andrea's advice (from Living on Cloud Nine) and bough this phone tripod.
With winter in full swing I was just not exercising much at all. We used to have a treadmill and I happily used it at least 3 times a day but the thing just died and we had not yet replaced it. I decided to purchase this little baby that has been on my wish list forever; I like that it's so nice and small and portable.
We needed a few new books for school and I bought a couple of these Draw and Write Through History for a bit of copywork with a bit of history thrown in.
I broke down and bought an air fryer; after reading a few reviews we settled on this large 5.8 qt one by GoWISE. I've only used it once and I don't know if I like it or not.. please feel free to share some air fryer recipes with me!!
We also signed Alec up for a free month of Audible. If he likes it we'll keep up the subscription for a few months as my son's birthday gift.
He's a huge Pokémon fan and picked out a few little gifts for himself using his own gift cards:

He was thrilled to find this My Patronus is an Eevee T-shirt
(Pokémon shirts are hard to find in men's sizes!)
He got some new foot pads for his birthday for sparring at karate and needed new gloves too.
My final few purchases were for myself! I bought a few cute tops.
I bought this top in blue a few months ago and it's one of my favorites so I decided to order it in another color. It's so comfortable and has held up so well in the wash (unlike a few other tops I had purchased at the same time).
I also bought this sweater for myself... though it's not nearly as baggy/ roomy or long as the picture shows so I'm returning it. It fit like a second skin but I might try sizing up one or two sizes because I did really like the feel of it, the overall style, and the color.
What have you been buying?
I want that top with the pockets! So I’ve been practicing with my tripod for 2 weeks and I am feeling very confident now. It even hooks to our regular tripod. My sons told me the back camera is the best so to do it that way. I have that same stepper too, I use it 5 times a week, it’s the best! Love your finds!
ReplyDeleteI haven't even taken the tripod out of the box yet! I keep looking at it thinking I should but I have yet to play around with it.
DeleteI bought a sweater on Amazon last month and it was massive. Like, not even close to the size at all. So I had to return it too. Although, I am lucky because we have a Kohl's five minutes from our home and they take Amazon returns there. I swear, I don't know what I would do without Amazon Prime. Be richer, that's for sure. :)
ReplyDeleteKohl's takes amazon returns?! I had no idea!! I would definitely be richer without Amazon but boy I sure do love it.
DeleteI find that a lot of Amazon clothing runs small, sometimes 1-2 sizes. I do love that sweater though! I have also had that stepper in my "idea" cart for ages. The metal bowl is something I might get. I have some metal bowls, but they are tall and narrow...I like the wide size instead. Thanks so much for linking up with Prime Purchases!
ReplyDeleteI had that stepper on my list for a good two years and I am so glad I finally purchased it. It is really sturdy and well made.
DeleteI love the pink shirt you got! How is the stepper working for you?
ReplyDeleteI really like it; you can adjust the tension too so my boys have been getting lots of use out of it as well.
DeleteI love both of the sweaters that you got. That one with the big buttons is so cute. I also love the one with the pockets!
ReplyDeleteThe one with the pockets is so comfy!
DeleteI have that stair stepper and I LOVE IT! I use it all the time! And I need to get that phone tripod. I would use that thing all the time!
ReplyDeleteWe are really enjoying it too. It was much sturdier than I thought it was going to be.
Deletelove that second sweater. Lots of people have that stair stepper!!
ReplyDeleteIt sure seems popular.
DeleteGreat Buys!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Debbie
Thanks!
DeleteThat top is very pretty. My 25 yoa daughter is a big fan of Pokemon. She'd love that blanket.
ReplyDeleteSo.. I guess there's not much hope he'll outgrow Pokémon then?! LOL
