Zesty Ranch Chex Mix

My youngest son loves the Zesty Ranch Cheez-It Grooves and asked if we could come up with some sort of zesty Ranch flavored Chex mix.  He already loves our Cheesy Ranch Chex mix so I thought I might be able to take that same recipe and amp up the flavor a bit by combining it with some of our favorite flavors from our Traditional Chex Mix.

This was one yummy experiment and we now have a new favorite Chex mix in the house.

Ingredients:
Corn Chex
Rice Chex
Mini pretzels
goldfish crackers
Bagel Chips
5 tablespoons butter, melted
1 Tablespoon mustard
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
3 Tablespoons ranch dressing mix
1 Tablespoon Parsley flakes
2 tsp garlic salt
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

Combine the Chex, pretzels, crackers and bagel chips in a large microwaveable bowl. In a separate container melt the butter and stir in the mustard, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce.  Pour over the Chex mixture and toss until evenly coated.

Sprinkle on the ranch dressing, parsley, salt and Parmesan cheese them mix again until everything is evenly coated.

Microwave for 6 minutes; stirring every two minutes.  Then let the Chex mix cool completely.  I usually turn the bowl over onto a cookie sheet, sheets of tin foil, or parchment paper to cool.

You can even see that this recipe is chuck full of flavor!

Once cool store in an air tight container and enjoy!

  2. I make a homemade ranch seasoning mix. I use it in a lot of things, but I've not tried something like this. My kids (and likely my husband) will love this! Pinned.

    1. Thanks for the pin! I have just recently started making a lot of my own mixes and we much prefer them to the store bought ones. I'll have to try making my own ranch seasoning mix.
