What's Up Wednesday; November

It's just about the end of the month and time for another What's Up Wednesday post.  I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Let's dive right in!

What We're Eating This Week:  Lots of nice warm comfort foods like...

Turkey Day Leftover pie

Cheesy Herb Crusted Pork Chops with rice and corn

Crock Pot Lasagna Soup with fresh bread from the breadmaker.

What I'm Reminiscing About: We're talking about where we want to go on vacation next year so we can begin planning (and budgeting for it!) and all this talk of where we want to go keeps reminding me of all the places we've been.

Niagara Falls

Disney! (So many, many times!)
(Even while pregnant with my youngest)
Nashville Tennessee
Orlando/ Universal Studios

Myrtle Beach

Sesame Place (Pennsylvania)-- a couple of times!

The white mountains in New Hampshire
Busch Gardens/ Tampa
Hershey Park (A couple of times!)
What I'm Loving: I am totally addicted to this cookie butter.  I bought these jars as a set so I could try a delicious new muddy buddy recipe and now I am just slathering the leftover cookie butter on everything!

What We've Been Up To: These past few days we're all about decking the halls.  I got rid of 3 more bags of old Christmas decorations and am slowly converting our holiday decorations to something a bit more my style.  Much of what we had is decorations that had been given to us or handed down from well meaning family members.

What I'm Dreading: The cold and those dark afternoons where it feels like we barely had any light at all.

What I'm Working On: I have a good 4 more Christmas gifts to make with the help of my Cricut and while I am finding that many of these involve quite a learning curve I am loving the final products and really hope our family members do too!

What I'm Excited About: We wrote up and shared our Holiday/ Winter bucket list this week and I am excited about tackling the items we have listed.  We've already managed to knock out one or two things.

What I'm Watching/ Reading: Watching lots of Christmas movies; some from DVD and some from Netflix/ Hulu.  Movies like: The Princess Switch, The Holiday Calendar, The Christmas Chronicles and Falling for Christmas.  We also watched ELF on Thanksgiving; our yearly tradition.  After dinner and usually while tucking into some delicious desserts we curl up around the fire and watch Elf.

What I'm Listening To: Christmas songs!

What I'm Wearing: Lots of layers.  We had record breaking cold temperatures here on Thanksgiving and it's been pretty chilly so I am embracing turtlenecks with comfy sweaters and my slippers the moment I walk through the door.

What I'm Doing this Weekend:  Not much... probably working on a few more of those Christmas gifts I need to finish.

What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month:  Christmas is coming!  This is early enough in the season that I'm still excited for Christmas and all it brings.  We're watching holiday movies, listening to Christmas music and enjoying all the lights and decorations around us.

What Else is New: We just bought the boys tickets to see a Cirque de Soleil show and I am so excited.  My husband and I have seen quite a few of their shows on our trips to Vegas but we have yet to bring to the boys to one.  I think they are really going to enjoy it.
