More Pictures from our Hershey Trip

We stayed at the Comfort Suites in Hummelstown, PA for our trip and we really liked the hotel.  It was nice and clean, offered a great Continental breakfast, and had nice large rooms with two queen beds and a pullout sofa.  I don't know about other families with thee kids but we often have a hard time finding a hotel that accommodate us.

My kids liked the pool the best and we spent each afternoon or evening sitting by the pool letting them swim and splash and play.

Evan asked if we could get a waffle maker like this one for our house.  He really enjoyed having fresh waffles each morning.

Alec often sat alone at breakfast reading his book.  He's so much like his mom!  I can not go on vacation without bringing a few books along.

We drove past the Milton Hershey Middle School on a tram ride from the park to the parking lot. We could not get over the size of the school!  It was huge and so very nice looking.  The rocks in front spell out Welcome to Hershey

Once home I read up on Milton Hershey Middle School once we arrived home and was floored to read that is a zero tuition, private school set up for children living in poverty.  What a wonderful concept!

This photo shows two buildings; the one in front is part of the Hershey Gardens (which we didn't get to see on this trip!) and the green roofed building in back is the Hershey Hotel.  I'm trying to convince my husband it would make a great destination for our next romantic getaway weekend but I'm not so sure that it's working.

The town of Hershey has lots of Hershey Kiss shaped street lamps; some silver and some brown.

  4. I love Hershey's chocolate. I don't suppose we'll be there any time soon, so nice to read about your visit. If the middle school you saw connected to the chocolate company? #familyfun

    1. The middle school is not connected to the chocolate company but was a pet project of Milton Hershey.
