Love to Learn-- Moving Right Along

I just noticed the other day that my boys are all pretty close to finishing up a few of their schoolbooks for the year.

Every single year I stress and worry about getting all our work done when we take so many days off for family vacation, field trips, outings with friends, and those days when appointments and life seem to get in the way of sitting to work on or schooling....

....and yet, we just about always manage to finish up all our school work by May the latest.

As we begin putting aside books that are finished we'll add in another lesson from a book that isn't as close to being finished until we've got all our work done.

I just love that we always seem to move right along even when I'm not really realizing it!

  1. Not that we're really "doing" school, but I'm always amazed at how quickly we seem to get through everything, too!

    1. Of course.. I wrote this post and the kids all got sick so we're not doing any school at all now! LOL. But I just keep thinking of how much we've already accomplished and how quickly we can finish up what we have left.

  2. As someone who is jumping back on the "school at home" bandwagon, I am hoping that our transition is easy so that we can catch up on what we have missed. Thank you for this resource. I have been feeling overwhelmed with all we have to do. Glad your homeschooling year is going well.

  4. Thanks for sharing at Party in Your PJs. My youngest was homeschooled (she does take a couple of electives at the high school but she was a year ahead in school. One of the best things we did for her!

    1. That's wonderful that your high school allows her to take a few electives!
