Love to Learn-- Routines Versus Plans
We are finding our way back into our routine after taking two full weeks off for Christmas and New Year's.
I don't homeschool with a plan in place. I tried for years to plan out our year but it seemed like no matter how much I planned and how much room I left for changes or unplanned activities that might crop up we always abandoned our planner by the end of the first week or two.
Then I noticed that we do tend to naturally fall into a routine of sorts and so I started to keep a running mental checklist going of what I'd like to accomplish with the boys in any given day, week, month, or year and just worked off of that.
